sounds like the condensor fan motor, what you need to do is get the model #, voltage, and HP of the fan. if you cant get a hold of the greek (jason) then get a hold of me, i could get one through my AC school. just be advised you dont want to go to a bigger HP motor, (bigger is not always better). just get what the manufacture recomends. cole and i took our axle when we did the same thing to pep boys and asked one of the guys out in the shop if they could tap it. he had the tap and for 10 bucks was done...So try a motorcycle shop or a machine shop they can retap it for ya..

81 plastics , gas tank will not fit on a 74
