it was an absolutely amazing weekend!! NO Crowds, lots of dune runs, the dunes are kind of whooped out in sections but if you looked hard enough you could find some good lines!

I lead a huge line on Saturday and I think one guy said we were running 78 MPH :) heck I didn't even think I was pushing it :whoop:

had a broken CV on Sunday but from experience had a boot and CV in the trailer so that was only a 30 minute break in duning!!

Brice on the other hand blew his trans :( sorry Brice....

Rees finally got his car running perfect! HUGE improvements!!

had the filming guys land at North Pole in an ultra-lite, and chatted with them (cool guys) then they realized they couldn't take off with 2 people so I ran the actor back to his camp.. they (the film crew and actors/actress's) came out and swarmed me like ants to a sugar cube lol... I thought they were going to yell at me, but turned out they just wanted to ride :) I did take the actor up comp on the way back.. he said is it safe? I said is riding in an ultra-lite safe? he said good point

great camp fire antics as always... term of the weekend "Oh Mary" and that was from my 8 YO son :laughoff:

awsum trip, great weather virgin dunes Friday morning, killer sunsets. pretty much had the place to our selves. met some ddr guys at comp hill. and watched a tri wing plane buzz our camp powered by a vw motor. I have seen lots of things but never have I seen a volkswagon fly. it was my 52nd birthday had 30 people in camp, got to ride a stage 4 banshee and multiple rides in the bosses quick sand car. as near perfect as perfect gets.

It was a great weekend. had some buggy runs, some RZR runs, some quad runs. and a nice sized camp. We even had to wrap around the camp next to us as the camp grew much more then expected. The sand was very nice Friday, good on Saturday, and a little tore up sunday. The sand is dryer now so the ruts aren't so brutal like Thanksgiving.

I got some great rides in with my son. We went on a 2 hr ride with him on Monday. I led half and Joe led half. He was riding like a pro and we got him up to the tallest point of the dunes. It is such a great feeling to see him riding so well. Thanks Joe for letting me follow and watch him ride. Thanks Jodi for letting me ride your quad.

I came from so. cal. to play in your backyard, thanks for grooming the dunes so nice (perfect). oh and the entry road. on the road out of baker 2 leos passed me, and I have a tradition at entry road, say a prayer and pop 1 beer. x 4 people. heres comes leo driving up, stashed beers. he asked if we were ok. yes just streting after 6 hour drive. he actually stopped at lil Dumont and hardly anyone had a pass. I guess there was an article in newspaper in vegas "free camping at little dunes" he was real cool got his name it was officer Wilcox. after all the stories I have reading lately just wanted to share a good story. by the way adam nice pics. thanks guys.

Had a Sheriff in a RZR stop by camp on Saturday morning. Super pleasant guy and interaction. BS'd for a minute and took off. Maybe he was checking for passes and infractions, but we never knew it since he was cool about it and we weren't breaking any laws. I should say that it's an officer I've seen out there before and has always been cool.

hey adam Wilcox in suv. eddy did you see our strobes (white) I think you were nextdoor to us

Not sure if I remember white strobes. I know one of our neighbors had a purple LED flag pole.

This is our view toward Ranger station:

Turns out I only grabbed the camera at night after a few cocktails. But here's a few that aren't the usual Dumont pics:

And I only took this one because in LA we can't see the Milky Way and the few stars we CAN see are orange. I'll have a fisheye next trip out for this shot:
