BFD Revo Build Thread

Have been talking with Russ at BFD for a little while and decided to pull the trigger on a Revo. We are going to pull the turbo'd busa motor out of the old car and put it in this one. Just dyno'd the motor about 2 months ago at 290hp at the tires, so in a car that should come to about 11-1200 lbs it should get along ok. We decided on a chromoly chassis that we will finish out from a roller a little closer. Will have some more pics once it gets to a roller (BFD's shop is a 4 hour round trip from home, so dont get down there too often).

Badass! That is going to look sharp and haul a$$. I'm curious like Joe. How are you getting 290 hp out of the Busa to the wheels? I'm assuming it's more than just a turbo right? Also curious if you are going to be running a reverse box.

Its definitely not a stocker with a turbo... Motor was built by Scott at Heads Up straight cut gears, upgraded crank, rods, pistons, larger injectors, it has a 2 stage boost controller so when your duning it runs about 14 lbs of boost and racing it runs at 19 lbs. @@dunefreak yes it will be running a jeffco box.

Oh ok. All you had to say was Scott @ Heads Up! He did some work for me a while back on my Busa when he was at the LV Speedway. He is the man when it comes to Busas.

Ya now he is up in Utah and my brother is working for him so all of the "go fast" parts get put in :dayum:

Just a little update... Chris at R3 Fabrication in Beaumont is putting in the work to get this done by Halloween. We are putting in a JAZ fuel cell, ordered up some Jet trim Seats from Gary A+ work I have to say. We are getting the motor and diff aligned and ran into a snag with the rear trailing arms. Sent them off to BFD in hopes to get something back soon and get the project back on track.
