Let's hear it! Looked like it was pretty crowded out there. Did anyone get some pics of the Jeeps?

Here's a couple pics Mike Colosimo (badass24racing) took

Most crowded ive seen it last couple years any holiday. Sand was't that bad though in my opinion thanks to the windy nights and mornings. The sand was WAY worse new years! it was a little warm out there! Ran the AC a bit in the hauler. was down right hot today on our one and only run before we packed up and headed out around sun down. The road was dragged and wet down on the way out which was nice.

Could not make the trip this weekend, but a friend sent a pic of a wreck at Comp Sat night. Are they ok and what happened? Also, is the pic of the fried toy box a result of hot brakes? They had a RZR.

The people in the rail are ok. Here's the thread... http://www.dumontduneriders.com/invision/index.php?showtopic=19239

Not sure about how the fire started with the toyhauler but they are ok. Yes, it was a 4 seat RZR.

Way to many people to go duning IMO but was awesome to sit on the hills and watch everyone. Vendor row looked very busy every time I went by. I bought a couple things from GTP and tried the BBQ out there. I even got several bad a$$ T shirts! It was the busiest I have seen it and way more people then Halloween.

It was definately a busy busy one on saturday on Vendor Row :)

Sunday was steady, and we still stayed busy.

Saw that TH with 4 seat RZR on the way home :(

I think those chinese lanterns are pretty going up in the sky, but then was sadened by the sight of them laying as trash all over the desert, I counted 12 just that I could see going down dumont rd. Maybe we should think more about that before lighting them off...

We got one ride in this morning with Duner Joe didn't think I would get to ride, so I left the quad at home and hitched a ride with Mike, that was fun, I love a good Joe Duner led run.

Helped a camp behind us look for their lost pup sunday night and this morning a little, was happy top hear she was returned to them.

Didn't take many pics, was kicking myself for not bringing the good camera with that gorgeous moon rise friday night and the full moon :( if any of the pics are good, I will post them.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported GTP Offroad this dune season! We appreciate you and you support!! Looking forward to next year! Also looking forward to having some FUN trips before the heat takes us up to Coral! ;)

Here are a couple of pics.....

:stick_smack::stick_smack::stick_smack::stick_smack:

REALLY wish I had the good camera for Friday night's bad a$$ full moon rise! Posting the best of what I got though.

We also have some new marketing flags for the GTP Offroad vendor booth!

I certainly can say one thing... vending is not easy, its a lot of hard work, so we also appreciate all of the vendors that were out there this season! Beefy Boys saved our butts this weekend by feeding us dinner Sat and Sun evening, and Chris the shirt guys saved Mike's butt by having some lesser priced awesome t-shirts, since it was toasty and Mike forgot t-shirts and only had his Grinch t-shirt in the hauler.

comp hill was out of control sat nite. never have seen that much traffic to comp in 20 years, great times. glad to hear outcome of crash. saw whole thing start to finish, violent and horrific looking. pulled into baker on way there loud knock in f450 motor (15000) miles had truck and 40ft warrior towed back to l.a. long trip home. broke a connecting rod on bottom end 5k estimate. I will try to save up for turkeyday. 3 trips in 4 monthes could not ask for more fun and great weather. I will miss everyone see you soon.

Oh damn! Sorry to hear that. So if it blew up on the way there, how did you get your toys to Dumont?

Haven't posted any pics...but we hit up Glamis this year. Man, I missed that place. Got there early Wed afternoon and was able to snag a spot (2nd or 3rd camp) along Gecko Rd. about 20ft from the pavement. I will NEVER camp in the washes again...that is the way to go. Was a pretty busy weekend...The sand drags were about 5 rows deep and about 500+ yrds long. Didn't go to Olds at night, but that is okay...had plenty of fun at camp. Thurs went out for some dune riding then went exploring and came across a little oasis in the middle of nowhere by the bombing range, had some fly overs by some awesome jets. Friday, the camp next to us took us out across the highway and showed us Slab City and Salvation Mountain (Google it, pretty damn cool), blew my belt on the rzr on the way back, but got that all fixed up back at camp. Saturday we took the sand highway on the west side, through Gordon's Well down to Duners Diner, another pretty cool a$$ place. Headed back to camp after about 4 hrs of being out and just chilled and got ready to watch the mayhem at the sand drags (we didn't even have move out of camp, just sat in our chairs and watched from camp). All in all, didn't do too much duning this trip but did alot of exploring and it made the trip even better. I was kind of worried about jacking my back up since I had surgery back in March, but had my brace on and survived. Can't wait to go back and do some more exploring. AWESOME TRIP!!!!

I think the message got out for Law enforcement to let people come to vendor row. While I did see some people that needed some law enforcement help to cure their stupidity, I didn't see any hard patrol of the people on Vendor row. We do appreciate that. I did go to the BLM station on Saturday to get Vendor row watered down, and within 15 minutes, in came the truck... I appreciate that VERY much. We were down wind and the dust was NUTS. they came through one other time, with out us asking and watered Saturday, and I think I saw them come down Sunday also. The days kind of run together when vending. The BLM and Sherriff staff I talked to at the BLM station were very pleasant and helpful.

Adam that is encouraging. Maybe they are lurking and learning do to speak on here. I would if I were upper management at BLM. Not to see who's a turd. But too see how I could be part of a team to care for the land. After all it's about safety and preserving D that's their job, and if u can do That and get along and maybe work together for BOTH of those. All the better course that's IMO :)

It was a nice weekend as always, had a lot of fun, warm weather, and even some fast dune runs! I got in a little later Friday afternoon than I planned because I had to stop for a tire repair on the way out of town. So that put me in late Friday afternoon and I just missed the cocktail run...aaarrggghhhh.

The dunes were crowded especially anywhere near comp and the backsides of it. The first dune run out Saturday morning, Painter Joe broke a CV shortly into the run, so we stopped to help out and go back to camp for supplies, CV was swapped out in the dunes and he was back up and running. Saturday was busy everywhere, in the dunes, at vendor row, and Comp was as packed as I have ever seen it.

The wind blew hard Saturday night and the dunes cleaned up well for Sunday. The dunes were not as busy Sunday and there was a lot of fresh sand, so we had some good dune runs. Especially the cocktail run led by Lou B., he picked some good wide open lines and we were pinned in 3rd and 4th gear the whole time...We stayed on the North side more towards Taledega where it seemed like it was an off weekend with very little people. Who says you cant dune on busy weekends?
