  2. 1997 FORD EXPEDITION SUPERCHARGED 4WD JUST PASSED SMOG! ON 37" TOYO TIRES, FULLY EQUIPPED AND READY TO GO! PRICE $9K. MANY EXTRAS INCLUDED. EXTREMELY RELIABLE AND GOOD MPG! SECOND OWNER SINCE 2000' MOVING OUT OF STATE! SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! SEND ME YOUR BEST OFFER AND IT'S YOURS! Extremely reliable and strong truck, never had any issues! Always well maintained! Never mud bogged, or abused!!! CAN tow trailers excellent if needed, and go anywhere needed off road whether it's sand or dirt; this truck is Unstoppable!!! Under the hood it has a Kenne Bell 2.2 Twin Screw Supercharger, this complete unit and all the parts to it were manufactured by Kenne Bell Superchargers as a 50 state street legal kit; it has been installed without modifications to stay smog legal. The 6 lbs. of boost is cooled by a snow performance water/methanol injection kit (also smog legal in CA if only water is being used). It does have long tube headers out to a mellow Gibson exhaust, so the only real sound when accelerating is the supercharger! I do have the stock catalytic converters w/ pipes for the truck, included. Engine is very powerful with the fuel and engine tuning done by Swanson's Performance in Torrance. There are NO check engine lights or issues on the dashboard, like I mentioned, I babied this truck. No excessive engine modifications or things that would keep the truck from running great for the long run. Truck has a 9 inch lift with rear Fox reservoir shocks. Tires are 37" Toyo R/T which are almost brand new. Differential axles have been re-geared to 4.88 ratio, front and rear. The gear ratio gives great performance, take-offs, fuel mileage, and excellent RPM on the freeway. Rear differential is a Ford Posi with carbon fiber clutches. Has onboard air with tank and 8 train horns. Inside has a touch screen DVD stereo and large TV for rear passengers. Third row seat too. Many additional "reliable" upgrades not listed. Truck has been parked as I never use it anymore. I do start and run the engine, but no longer drive it. CALL OR TEXT 626-217-0169
  3. until

Would've been nice to see that happen! It'll be a Big one for us!
  4. Same here, this PRO XP recall has us set back!!
  5. It's open. Buy a pass at the entrance. It's a machine that takes credit cards. I'll be heading up there from the Riverside area in a couple days.
  6. I believe the converter power line goes to the battery disconnect switch. The solar goes directly to the battery to bypass this, as you may want to disconnect when the rig is in storage. At least that's the only logical reason I can think of??
  7. My new rig came with a Go-Power 200 watt solar panel and a power inverter. I used to run my generator constantly on my old rig without solar, now I only run the generator when I have to use the microwave or AC. Everything else is ran straight up on 2- 12v batteries. I leave my panel in "recharge boost" mode starting from the morning until night fall. I run my 40" TV that draws about 140 watts for about 3-4 hrs a day. I can go all weekend without any issues. Would never go back to not having solar.
  8. Unfortunately I've gone through a similar situation. After the first DMV gave issues (including the supervisor), had to go to 2 different ones to finally find an employee that knew what to do. My experience in CA is that each DMV interprets and goes by their own said rules when it comes to anything out of the ordinary (which would be everyday no brainer stuff).
  9. Just got back, entrance road was freshly graded over the weekend (grader started Friday morning). The left side of the road (when entering) had been left very loose, with about 2-3" of sand/loose soft dirt. Nonetheless was very smooth and dusty.
  10. Old thread, but I'll be heading out Friday to Sunday! Missed out on the whole season, looking forward to this! Anyone else heading out with RZR's?
  11. Yeah that would be the safest way!
  12. Pretty sure there aren't many safe places where the vehicles wont get towed or broken into. Maybe pay the trailer park at the entrance to 127 from the 15 fwy, near where Baker Ice is?
  13. Hey Pat, I got a set. Still figuring out which day I'll be going within the next month or so.
  14. I appreciate the tips! I will definitely let you know if I come up with more questions, I know I will! I like your emphasis on rolling........that's my greatest fear! Don't wanna risk anyone getting hurt, or ruining the car!😬
  15. I've had the same issue with aftermarket radiators on my truck. Make sure the rubber mounts on the top and bottom of the radiator are still good and soft (to absorb vibration). Even then, aftermarket radiators may only last that long. A full aluminum construction unit would be your strongest. However if you have to stick with stock replacement, KOYO does pretty well for trucks.
  16. Sorry to hear! I had my 06 F250 Powerstroke stolen a couple of months ago and was recovered a few days later in a mess. It's amazing how extremely easy these are to steal! Hindsight, alarms, kill switch, steering wheel club, etc...for the future!
  17. Direct tv Dish on a portable tripod buried with rocks and sand. Works great!
  18. I've camped by bathroom 3 many times and never got even ok reception... but then again it was always during busy weekends where other rigs are in the way.
  19. Coming from quads and jeeps, now on to a 2016 RZR1000 xp4. I've gone all over the dunes, up and down, unstoppable on my YFZ450 quad. Just not sure how to take these in a SXS?? Basic newbie questions: 1. How well do they handle with stock tires in the dunes? I've read to keep them at 12 psi, but others tell me 20 psi? 2. What's the best way to maneuver through the dunes, big bowls, etc... with this setup? 3. How to not get stuck in a bad spot? 4. How to keep from rolling over (or breaking something) during transitions, surprise drop offs, witch eyes, and blind whoops while on the gas??? 5. Are paddle tires really worth it, and if so, will only paddles in the rear be OK, and stock tires in the front? Thanks DDR community, I know a lot of you guys run these SXS! I

    service

Unfortunately there are no pumping services that I've ever seen out there.
  21. Just to confirm, Bathroom 9 area has the best reception??? Or are there any other good recommendations since I will have to be working remotely for a bit this Thanksgiving out there???

    Directv

I use mine out there every year. I use a tripod and just level it with the built in bubble sight glass; from there, bury the legs so the wind doesn't take it down. Set the receiver to the visible and audible strength meter and turn up the volume on your TV. Slowly begin to rotate the dish pointing south-west, and there you go! You'll here and see the strength meter begin to pulse rapidly once you start going over 80% signal strength. Enjoy KickOff! I'll be right out there watching too!
  23. I always fill up in baker. Don't like hauling anymore extra load than needed as well. You can get water at Valero, it seems like everywhere else in town minds if you do. Only thing is the water is at the dump station.
  24. Some used to say parking on the bluffs by the entrance will give great 4g reception?
