  1. well the 250R is either an 85 or newer, so I would say they had to be spring of 85. Still, they are really cool photos, wouldn't it be neat if someone came forward on here and claimed to be the rider :duniemonkie:

  2. I have been to rasor road a few times and I can't believe you guys don't spend the extra 1/2 hour or so to get to Dumont. You can't beat the sand half pipe out there for jumping but the overall ride quality is a little lacking.

Its all about the crowds... and I am a firm believer that the guys that I ride with are part of what makes a quality trip for me!

  3. I would love to make it out to Dumont, I don't know where I am going out there though... and I just have not met too many people that go there... most of my riding buddies go to Rasor and Glamis (they are all from So. Cal.)

also... if there is someone thats handy with Google Earth, it would be super benifical to have someone put together a .KML file of all the sites and attractions in the area of Dumont.... IE, No. pole, bathroom sites, camping areas, wash areas, trail rides and closed areas.

I have done one for the Rasor road area,

it can be found here (its FREE)

  4. A while back, 6 months or a year, ago there was a thread that had a lot of good info on the GoPro cameras with what options to buy and batteries. best pricing etc. Does anyone know where that thread is??? I can't seem to find it with the search feature. thinking of getting one!

Don't wear a helmet so will need glue safe to use on my bald head too!!! :headbang1:

    Thanks,

    Pat

Go with the motorsports package and the HD ....

    check out this thread!

  5. I am digging your project, looks like a really fun little rail now.

I have not seen anyone mention it yet so I will, might think of changing the poly lines to the oil pressure gauge,

they don't last long with chaffing, and it looks like its gonna see some through the grate at the bottom of your floor. maybe encase them in some brake line? or go copper tube all the way back

I had a Nova some years back and was turned out of tech at the Strip because I had poly lines to my gauge... they were worried about oil downs on the track... got me to thinking... if I could cause a oil down with that teeny tiny little tube, how long would it take to pump all the oil out of my motor... just something to think about

  6. Has anyone had their ramp turned into a back deck area? Dave and I are thinking about taking the ramp of our hauler and making it level with some detachable cables. For sitting or a larger area for eating. Or whatever. Any thoughts??

Did mine with chains and closable links... liked this method cause its adjustable for slope needs or if the trailer is a bit tweaked.

  7. glad that you got your issue fixed, and at very little cost to you, but a lesson was learned here.... its just as easy to fill up at 1/4 of a tank as it is to "when the light comes on" 6.ohs are notorious for having priming issues too, you do not want to be in that boat either... my .02

  8. i have an 01 ford f250 am i am having some alignment problems when when i drive the truck it does not go straight and it all way's want to got to the right. so the next day i took it to the alignment shop and they told m that the trucks alignment was good and it did not needed adjustments and they could not find out what is the problem so what could it be???

ball joints? wheel bearings? are you sure it wasn't hit... if it doesn't run straight, I would find a shop with an old alignment setup.... Like George's in Las Vegas.

  9. I'd be workin on that bridge in a second if I ever got the opportunity. The highest I've been over the ground is 250' hanging by my harness hanging a billboard over Hollywood and Vine. That looks awsome.

Things can get really hairy on that site real fast.... remember when the cranes collapsed? well I had to do the forensic survey for the aftermath and I can tell you first hand.... They were damn lucky everyone went home early that day!

  11. Please help me out... I am looking for an instruction manual to mount the rails for a fifth wheel hitch into the back of a 2004 F250, I would prefer a PDF file if anyone could scan their instructions, or has a link to them I would really appreciate it!!!! Thanks for looking and I will post when I have the instructions if it isn't already obvious :dunno:

  12. I have come across quite a few ideas in the past here are a few of mine....

1 Outside shower attatchment to run misters off the awning.

2 Drop down screen from the bottom bunk for projector

    CIMG0030.jpg

    3 Some homemade wheel chocks

    NewWheelChocks2.jpg

4 as for the cables to the back deck, I avoided all the hassel of building the cables and just

bought 1800# chains and removable links... works great and are adjustable to any height.

  13. thanks alot bryan, dont want stucco either...just no maintanance aluminum patio....if you catch wind of anyone who does do them let me know...... :headbang1:

we did the one on the back of my dads house, setting the header and colums was the hardest part... after that the entire cover was done in 3 hours... and we have never done one before. a few hours work and some beer and you can get it done! :headbang1: Its not rocket science.

  14. I'd be kinda worried about breaking drivetrain components though with paddles on there. That's alot of hook.

I am sure that its less traction than at the drag strip, 4x4 launches at 1600 RPM give a nice chirp then a jump and gone
