Welcome to DDR and thanks for the new box. Not to knitpick or anything but while I was there Friday morning I adjusted the placard. It now says morale vice moral. Big difference in the meanings. They are very moral to begin with and could use our assurances to boost their morale!

Ace is right and I told you so!!!!!

Well check this out I wrote this down and gave it to my loving wife and asked her to spell check it for me as I Graduated from Fontana High School way back it !(*! I sent that in code so not to give out my real age!! ok 1981. I went to my trusty dictionary to show my loving wife and mind you very beautiful wife the correct way to spell it and here is the definition for "Morale" n. the courage,self-control,enthusiasm,and confidence that help to keep up a person's or group's spirits when competing or when facing hardship or danger.

Thanks for the update on the mail box. I hope it didn't have bullet holes or pink paint on it yet. I hope all treat it better then the box at The North Pole. Thanks for your service. Hope to met you some day at the dunes!

Thanks again

Thought this might help clear up any confusion...

“The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!”

President Eleanor Roosevelt

And I always liked this one myself...

“Some people wonder all their lives if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem.”

President Ronald Reagan

Here is one of many place's to drop off the letters.

Webster's Fine Stationers

Lori A. Webster

Altadena, CA. 91001

(626) 797-1135

M-F 9:30 to 6:30, Sat. 10:00 to 6:00 and Sun. 11:0

I spoke to Lori on 2-10-2010 She is providing a place to drop off letters all year round. And she would love more help with letters before all holidays please contact her for more info. I would personally like to THANK Lori for providing a place to drop off these very special letters. If you live in the area or are passing thru please stop in and say Hi to her and thank her for this service. I've never been there but I will be stopping in soon! :rzr::assblast:

Or if you wish to send them directly to HTTP://www.amillionthanks.org/

at 17853 Santiago Blvd

Villa Park ,Ca 92861

Or go to there web site and click on "Drop off letters" than click on your state and a list of drop off sites will pop up. Please call them first as some have gone out of business. I will be calling all of them soon to check out if still receiving letters or not and I will post an updated list soon. I'm planning on making a cover letter to be attached to all letters with a picture of the dunes and the mail box to show where the letter came from. Thanks to all that have posted. Call me if needed Steve the "TERMITESLAYER" (562) 266-1922

I picked up the letters Sunday afternoon. Did not take pictures as we forgot the camera. Adoptaussolidier.org found a Platoon SGT deployed out of FT.Bliss, TX that has asked for letters of support for his platoon(over half his platoon does not have family). I will send some of the letter to SSG Gonzales and the remaining I will take take to Lori.
