Hey peeps... I've got an interview at the local casino but don't really have an understanding of the position. Should I study all the games so I know what to look for? I know blackjack (and usually double my money) but not sure about Pai Gow or the other ones...

Thanks guys...

To be honest surveillance is 30% table games if that. I would go so far to say that maybe 20%.

You watch a lot of employee theft and imbeslment, facial recognition for previous trespasses and Metro weekly update flyers.... (we capture at least 2-3 a week off Vice and Metros top 20 lists) understanding what is about to happen by body language for fights and domestics.

You have to be able to pay attention to a phone, a radio, and look at 5 completely different situations all at once.

This is very true. The ability to multi task is a must. Depending on the casino you are applying for, all have different surveillance techniques and tools they use. If you are not technology savy, you better learn fast, you will be utilzing the latest in CCTV, camera analytics, etc...

reservation laws are the same as vegas, AC, and anywhere else with gaming. reservations have less games. you will prob be hired for something else than gaming though. gaming regulators run through tons of training mandated by the gaming control board. you would def know if you were applying for that. but running camera's is fun. the new bad_ss systems can read the print on a paper bill if not more. good luck bud
