This is so sick! :headbang1: I have to add one to my garage one day!

I read not too long ago about a new electric bike. http://faster-faster.com

It sounded like more of a concept than anything. Now it looks like KTM took the ball and ran with it! This is very interesting. Similar to what the article says, this may open up brand new riding areas not accessible my gas bikes and maybe even a whole new style or aspect of dirtbike riding.

Power from the brush-less, synchronous motor and 300V battery is rated at 22kW (29hp) while the torque is an impressive 42Nm (31 ft-lb). That brings the performance into the realm of a 125 two-stroker, albeit with about twice the torque.

I've wanted to buy an old prius and fab up a sand toy, just for the stupid factor :P ; maybe cause my rail is shaped like a prius :dunno: ;but this sounds pretty cool to me. I only wonder about any weight differences...Batteries can get pretty heavy.

As far as the enviromental benefits, I hear ya....opening new riding areas would be nice; but wouldn't we duners have to run our gennys through quite a bit of gas, to charge em back up? Would there be any less polution, really...? Just a thought :dunno:

Cool none the less. Exciting to see where motorsports could end up.

This wouldn't be for the dunes.
