Stranded at Dumont - help needed (9/26/18)

Recommended Posts

We just got word that this guy is stuck at the Little Dunes and needs help. He has apparently never been to the dunes before and got his vehicle stuck. He's wondering if anyone is able to lend him a hand.

*UPDATE* 9-26-18 6:45PM: He flagged down the fire dept that was passing by on HWY 127 and he made it to Baker. He is still looking for someone with 4WD that can help retrieve his vehicle.

7:03 UPDATE, DDR member, @ngoodey said he's on his way to get him. He lives in Pahrump.

I'll post any more updates as I get them. Hopefully everything goes well.

11PM UPDATE: Recovery was unsuccessful. Apparently, there's an issue with the shifter and they can't get it in gear. He is now in Pahrump and still needs help.

If it's an electrical problem with the computer, sometimes if you disconnect the battery for half an hour or so it will cause the computer to reset. May or may not help, but worth a try. I know it's too late for the OP, but keep that in your mind if something ever happens to you.
