V6 Recomendations

Recommended Posts

I currently have 2332cc Vdub in a mid travel Chenowth 4-seater that seems difficult (for me) to keep tuned.

I have been thinking about going with an aluminum V6.

I have an 091 bus trans and understand I'll need an adapter.

Not really looking for max power, max reliability and a reasonable budget are more important.

What should I look for? Thanks for any suggestions.

Check out this complete ECOTEC package for $3,600

I have no affiliation with the seller, its just another board I am on (Hope that is ok to post here).

Good luck with the search!

Not a V6, but a really good power update to what you currently have and won't stress out your chassis, trans, etc...

I have a Chevy 4.3l in my old car and it worked well, always ran perfect, made good power, easy to maintain and parts were always easy to get from auto stores. 091 did really well handling the power.

I had a shortstar in my last car. It was a good motor but I went through 3 of them. Head gasket every time. It was cheaper to get another donor than to fix. They were getting harder to find when I got the last one.

You have great advice from previous posters. All good power units to choose.
