Ours ran away from Dumont about 5 years ago or so (got out of the camper when someone opened the door)and he also was very nervous and afraid of noises, he was a pound rescue and never quite got over that. Someone was launching model rockets and he just freaked out and took off running. We figured someone just picked him up and kept him. Hope you have better luck this site reaches alot of people.
