Where is the closest dump station and place to get fresh water before arriving at Dumont? 2. I've got a two-wheel drive dually pulling a large toy-hauler. Is there a camping spot that's not too soft for this set up. 3. Where to buy a permit in Baker? Any info will be appreciated! It sounds like the weather will be cooler next week (mid 80's), so it should make for a great and uncrowded first time. ltr450rider Posted May 19, 2008 Share Posted May 19, 2008 Welcome to the site 1. Baker is the closest place to dump from the 15, Pahrump if your coming from the north. 2. Anywhere should be good to camp. The closer you get to the dunes the softer it gets. I like it oover by bathroom 3, good hard pack and close to the dunes. 3. Good thing is you will probably have the dunes all to yourselves since most people don't go out there after April, except for day trips. Should make for some really good riding!
