  1. Crazy train by ozzy for when you have passengers i love my head sets by the way . this weekend i thought i heard a noise and when i took my headsets off i couldn't hear it but when i would open the squelch i would definitely here a clicking lost a CV on Sunday the head sets i had in the back that no one was wearing was picking up the clicking of the c.v. plus they helped my daughters motion sickness.

  2. Even though fees were a big issue to us the dunning community that has to pay them.

I just wanted to add and I hope none of you do this... "Pack it in Pack it out" we all know what this means what you bring into the dunes, you take out of the dunes, and all the way home. In the meeting we talked about the surrounding communities and how there are many people that leave the trash in there dumpsters and it has been found to be duners trash.

My quick blurp is take your trash all the way home don't dump it in the local cities trash cans, by dumping it there we are losing the support of these cities. Just spead the word to eachother---

I agree the trash is a big issue. Take your trash home and put it on "your" curb or in "your" apartment dumpsters or even when you dump some places provide dumpsters for your trash and it is included in your dump fees. It basically boils down to, your an adult act like one and clean up after yourself.

  3. Hi everyone I am Raptoroys wife. We also went to the TRT meeting yesterday. We wanted to Thank everyone at the meeting for being very welcoming to us. Any questions and concerns we had were listened to and ideas we had were discussed. These people are very interested in keeping us (the duners) as happy as they can and also keep the dunes open and operable. Unfortunately it looks like the fees will be raised , but I feel they will try and do it in the best possible way. We will also be going back for the next meeting.

It was also nice to meet a few other DDR members while we were there.

  4. I have a mid travel turbo subie 4 pass. It has type 4's which I need atleast one new one , probably buy a couple. First question, where is the best place to get them? I ve seen them from 66-120$ online but its hard to tell if they are true type 4's or if they are selling type 2's as type 4's.

Second, I ll have to run limiting straps with the type 4's to keep from killing them, so is a 930 or 935 conversion worth it?

    Anybody have some cv's?

i buy mine from nevada offroad rob will take care of you or his dad. sorry raptoroy posted under wifes

  5. Amazing, the other thread turned into a flusher unfortunately. I dont think that was the place for, thats why I started this one, but no real action? Maybe they got it out of there systems already?

I said basically the same thing as many have stated in the other thread. A couple braces or gussets in most cars can really change the strenght of them and be the difference.

Sandaddict: With the pictures you posted of your car, it appears to be one of the best I ve seen. Its so good that via picture it s hard to tell. I think the occupants pictured would survive a similar incident that spurred this lok into saftey. You have good head room, so if there is failure it has some room still. Im guessing that the people pictured ae all sub 6 ft'ers? They just appear lower in the seat then some. I think the shoulder harness should be raised few inches, but its one of the best I ve seen , and should be measured in person to tell for sure. One reason it may be ok is that the occupants maybe on the shorter side. I d raise them as high as possible for them , and that would make it even safe when a larger person rides with you.

I think over all the chassis is very good, lots of head room, front and rear, good bracing etc. Id ad small 45 braces at the top of the a,bc pillars, one to add strenght and two because I think it could be done with out taking away anything from the car, due to it goodhead room already etc. I d x brace the roof, I cant really tell if its done forsure, or atleast put a lid on it. Some dont like the limited vision on a hill with a lid, you can just do the center, then use clear or tinted lexan/plastic on the sides to still have some vision out the roof for siting on steep hills.

Basically the car is so good it would need to be seen in person to really tear it appart. Try to pick out a bad seat belt mount, etc.... if you run at night, the light you see with is important, you have some of that handled, but being seen is right up there as well. leds, around the car let us all know where your at. nice one.

Thank You very much for your advice. We have considered the x bracing on the roof. My husband was wondering, there is a bar in the middle of the roof would you x brace both sides? We have a led whip right now. We still need more lighting but it was a push to get it ready for halloween so we just didn't play at night. We are putting side panels and a roof also. Again Thank You :bawl:

The bar on the roof crosses the B pillars would you x both sides. Would you use 1" tubing for the 45 gussets and how long

  6. Joe, no I dont have a picture , but were did I say I had a perfect car? I believe I commented on the safety compared to the others I was with.

ISBB, I can not comment on the decisions or thoughts of TATUM. Since you have the ability to know why other people make decisions can you tell me what my wife is thinking?

So why no comments on why all shoulder harness belts are mounted to low ?

Im even more surprised that most people just want to argue versus do something constructive like get a few people together and maybe revue peoples cars(who want it) and make suggestions to the set up based on experience, physics, engineering, and other known racing venue technics. No that would make to much sence.

Have you guys seen the videos of guys jumping from a tree like 100 ft up with rope tide to there feet? They stop in an instant, some even hit the ground alittle, really amazing that they do it.

ok i will be the first to ask about our car. My husband was a weldor/fabricator for ten years. We bought this chassis it is a buggyworks/DD. He has built the rest of the car and welded the extra bracing on it. I am willing to hear your educated opinon and anyone elses who knows what they are talking about in order to keep my family safe.halloween003.jpg
