  1. It looks like everyone who responded will be camping by S#9 or on the Bluff just beyond view of the cop shop. I'll be on the bluff and will check out S#9. See you out there. Martin.
  2. Out The Door Motorsports (www.otdcyclesports.com) in LA County is the best I've seen. They give you automated email quotes and they never bug you. Their angle is your out the door price is MSRP minus manufacture incentives if available. Tell your local dealer to match these guys pricing if they want your business.
  3. I've got Kenda brand Sand Gecko 18X9X8 on the back of my son's Eton 90. They seem fine and they look way more cool than any other brand I've seen.
  4. Lets organize a camp site. Use the map. .

    Need Air

Well I went to Pepboyz and bought a 120 watt, 4 gal Coleman Powermate VP401 for $79.00 This is a really good price for what you get however, I was reminded what you get better be what you need. The overheat switch tripped near the end of airing up my second truck tire from 28 to 70 lbs. I had to wait 20 minutes before it would start up again. For the price I'm going to make due as I didn't want to spend $200+ to get the job done right quick and don't use air tools. Thanks for all the advise.
  7. I've got a 1 ton because I carry heavy loads in the bed on the road from time to time. However the 3/4 ton is a better ride off road. With most new trucks the only difference between 3/4 and 1 ton is the number of leaf springs. If you are just towing toys I'd go for the 3/4 ton if you don't exceed the weight rating. In most cases insurance is void if weight rating is exceeded. After that I'd focus on a few low cost mods to get a little more power.
  8. I'm bringing lost of firewood. The BBQ, steaks, ranch style Texas beans, and a mixed bag of veggies for dinners. Frozen wadka and silver bullet will be on my happy hour(s) menu. Macallans 12 year will also get passed around to toast the two guys who parished last weekend in the sand car. Strong lattes from the Pavino espresso machine will smooth out the good times at camp. Living well after riding hard is my reward.

    Need Air

I don't have a need for a compressor more than once or twice a month. I'll probably go to Kreagen/Pepboys and spend $100. If they will hold up under 10-15 minutes continuous use I'm good. If not I'll return it and make a plan B. :shoot:

Sounds My (don't tell my sweet sweet wife about) mod fund was just about sucked dry by my 450 this month. I got to check the price part. Thanks.
  12. This is also my last chance to ride Dumont until January. Lets plan a middle age camp chaos during the first week of Nov.

    Need Air

I've got narrow 10 ply tires on a 97 F350 4X4 460 gasser pulling 11K. Always get bogged down between first finger and dunes which is where I like to camp. Most of this area is good yet there are several soft patches that I can not always avoid if I don't air down to < = 28 pounds. I usually drive slow to Baker to air up on way out yet this distance is not good for the tires and don't like to wait in line for air. I can also use the compressor for other areas I like to go. Thanks for the response.

    Need Air

I've got a Honda 2000W gas powered generator. The red colored quite type. I'm looking for the most powerful air compressor my generator can handle so I can air up my 10 ply truck tires to 75+ pounds at Dumont before heading home. My goal is to find one that is not a space hog and can air me up in a reasonable amount of time. leads or suggestions will be much appriciated .
  15. I've got a chance to camp at Dumont Nov 10th, 11th, & 12th with my 5th wheel and yfz450. None of my friends can get time off work. Anyone planning a trip I can hook up with? Martin.
