  2. I'm looking forward to getting out there this weekend. Got a couple of buddies coming to help pick up trash.

I thought we were going to ride? Your only bringin me to pick up trash? sheeesh in that case I'll bring my kids I always have to tell them to pick up there trash.. :surrender: Don't forget my Rockstar LOL

  3. So a couple of guys I work with who mainly ride dirt bikes asked if I wanted to go to Dumont just for a day trip on Saturday. It didn't take much convincing to talk me into so I decided to go :P . We arrived about 7:00 a.m. and the weather was a little brisk but felt great once we got riding. As the day went on it got a little hot outside but as long as you were riding it wasn't to bad. This was my first time I have ridden since my broken wrist and it was a little stiff at first but overall it felt great. Man it was good to be riding again! Lost my nerve a little bit a first and then after the first ride it was like it never happened. I had a lot of fun today and am looking forward to next weekend now. :halloween: I looked for some of the other DDR peeps that I knew would be out but I couldn't find anyone. Here are some pics! Enjoy!

Yes nice MOOBS dude, what the hell is that about?? sweet man good times thanks for postin, I guess I'd better start doin sit ups, holy heck no wonder I broke 2 chairs today.

:beercheers: what about that one? oh yeah family site LOL.

    :mc:

  4. My buddy did it for a couple of years until he got stuck one time and couldn't back out! I 've done it once and did not like the way it felt towing.

I pull ball to ball 28' tt with 12' flat bed pulls ok for me, I don't pull to dumont that way only Amargoosa since the route is much friendlier, I see plenty of 5er's with a trailer behind them just can't go with too big of a trailer. If I had a 5er I would pull anywhere it's much easier of a pull than with a ball.

  5. :disco-dance: MY WIFE AND I HAVE 5 KIDS 1 HERS 3 MINE 1 OURS. AGES 14 12 12 11 7MO. THEY ARE A HANDFUL KEEP YOU BUSY AND KEEP YOU BROKE BUT THEY ARE AWESOME TO HAVE AROUND. 6. allright, i'm stoked finally got my deisel 03 F 250 7.3 4wd. I've heard about fuel additives but i'm not sure what the best type would be or where to purchase it. Also how about the lowdown on oil changes where, how often, can they be done in the driveway? HOW ABOUT A BOOK ON DEISELS FOR DUMMIES(NEWBIES). I love the truck just never had a diesel, any help would be appreciated. Oh yea someone buy my F250 2wd v10 lifted thanks again. :laughoff::slap:

  7. when hooked up, does your tongue point down, flat or up?

echo what DF said about the dist bars, and putting them on. a power tongue jack makes it soooooo much easier too!!

when hooked up trailer goes down bars go up drastically when tension is strong, think I need to raise the ball :cripple:

  8. First thing you want to do is have your hitch adjusted so your trailer is fairly level-to-slightly high in the front went it first rests down on the ball (w/o completely letting it down with the jack).

Next, BEFORE you let the tongue jack down, latch the tongue on the ball and raise the trailer back up a little ways.

Now......install the weight-dist bars and crank them up using whatever link on the chain of the bars that allows a good amount of tenision. (With the truck and trailer raised a bit with the tongue jack, it makes it much easier to allow more weight off the hitch.)

Now lower the tongue jack and see how level you are. If you are still nosed down on the trailer, you'll need to raise your hitch. Don't forget, you WILL sag your truck a little bit. Some tongue weight is good to keep that trailer stright behind you.

As for the bars, it depends on the model you have as far as how the angle of them is supposed to be. Most of them end up being pretty straight (level) or slightly angled down when installed properly.

Hope this helps. This way has always worked great from my experience and I tow a 35ft tag toyhauler and have NO problems. :D

THANKS, FOR YOUR TIME I,LL TRY THIS OUT AND I,M HOPING TO BE ABLE TO RIDE WITH YOU GUYS ON SAT. I CAMP IN THE WASH FOR THE SAFETY AND FUN FOR MY KIDS TO BE ABLE TO RIDE THE TERRAIN DOWN THERE

  9. CAN ANYONE TELL ME BRIEFLY ON HOW TO SET UP THE WEIGHT DIST. BARS WHEN I LOAD MY TRAILER I SEEM TO GET ABOUT 2.5" INCHES OF SAG IN THE REAR I HAVE A 00 F250 AND A 29' FT HAULER. HOW ABOUT BALL HEIGHT ON THE TRUCK IF THE TRAILER COUPLER IS AT ABOUT 20" FROM THE GROUND WHERE SHOULD THE BALL HT. BE I FEEL LIKE I'M SAGGING TOO MUCH AND MY TRAILER DIVES DOWN. ALSO THE BARS ARE ANGLED UPWARD TO THE TRAILER I BELIEVE THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO BE LEVEL WITH THE TONGUE.I KNOW THIS CAN BE TIME CONSUMING BUT WOULD APPRECIATE SOME HELP.

    THANKS :cripple:

  10. I'm thinking of buying a 2000 f250 4wd 7.3 120000 miles any feedback on this set up would be great, going for about 15000 motor reliability, tranny whatever. I have a 250 2wd w/a v10 92000 miles but of course looking for more pulling power and the 4wd thanks duners. :rockwoot:

  11. You have to have a non-resident sticker which can usually be purchased at one of the vendors on a big weekend and I believe the rangers have them at the ranger station. They are $20 each. A ticket will cost you alot more if you get caught. Consider the people around you also. If one person gets caught in camp without a sticker I'm sure they will check everyone in that camp. It's better to be legal than have to worry every time you see a ranger. If you get a ticket for not having a sticker it's your own fault and not the rangers fault. He's just doing his job. Every state is going to get their money one way or another.

All right I'll buy the dang stickers to keep it legit :headbang1:

  12. this has been a big battle with the green sticker....in nevada you don't have to register an OHV, in california you do. when you register your OHV in cali, they give you a green sticker. but with me being a resident of nevada, i am not held to registering in cali. thats like having to register your car/truck in cali because you drove through. don't get me wrong, i have no problem paying to use the park/land....but if i get hassled, i am just gonna have to tell 'em like i have before... i am a resident of nevada

hey, thanks got boost, I,m with you on that one

  13. I was wondering about the ohv stickers at dumont i want to go but not sure about how strict they are with having a sticker. I've gone many times without one never had an issue just wondering if their cracking down on the fees. I know about the passes for the vehicle, just not real sure about the bikes. I've got 6 bikes to sticker, just waving my options. :hello::thumb:

  14. Fuel is not the problem...changed spark plug, just won't run. Now the code is telling me that the govenor is not working properly. I just got off the phone with onan and this is a problem with the carbs, they have such small jets that the clogg up...and stop working. The only reason I was told by ONAN that they can not service the gens if clogged is because of emissions. :banghead: The warrenty will cover the problem if it is the govenor or something else along those lines, but if the varnish is there then I SOL. I will work on the thing myself if there is varnish in there.

MY BUDDY HAD THE SAME PROBLEM HE WENT TO CAMPING WORLD BOUGHT A NEW CARB ABOUT $110 INSTALLED IT HIMSELF ALL IS WELL NOW. HE STARTED WITH PLUGS FUEL FILTER HOSE ENDED UP BEING THE CARB ALL HE COULD DO WAS REPLACE IT :rockwoot:
