thats me, everytime gives me a hard time about it!!
Duh, I'm sorry. My mama always told me "Son, you're not as dumb as you look". I think she may have been wrong.

Rhinos look cute for bumpin around with the family. Anyone want to race their Rhino against my quad for pinks? I’ll even use my utility quad.

My buddy and I will be there that weekend. This will be our first tip to dumont. This will be our first over nighter without the kids and women. I know I'll miss them.

Thanks guys.

I know this isnt a sand related question but do cell phones with Cingular service work OK in Baker?
-

I just pulled this off of the California OHV website
http://www.ohv.parks.ca.gov/default.asp?page_id=1234
SPEED, TURNING, RECKLESS DRIVING
You may not drive a motor vehicle in a manner that endangers the safety of other persons or their property (CVC 38305, 38314, 38316a, 38317).
PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMIT
No motor vehicle shall exceed 15 mph within 50 feet of any campground, campsite, or concentration of people or animals (CVC 38310).

I Was told an ATV instructor that the speed limit on BLM land when it's not posted is 35mph. Yeah, right.
-
Do they enforce a db limit, if so, whats the limit? Also, Do you need a sparky at Dumont and if so do they encforce it? It Doesnt seem that most Nevada dunes have a sound limit but you are supposed to have a sparky.Thanks.

I dump my backdoor droppings where I park in the backyard. I'm lucky enough to have a sewer hookup there. I noticed that the wife never offers to help, Go figure! :freakin_nuts: :freakin_nuts:

We'll be there Fri, Sat & sunday.

I used to do that and was good at one time. I would now rather waste my money on my quad.

So, it's a LONG ROUGH ride?
Is the whole road rough? If not, how long is the bad part and is it "that bad"?
That would be OK if I wasnt towing but I am towing.

I am trying to find the best (easiest, fastest) way to get from Vegas to Dumont Dunes. According to the computer, taking the 160 out of Vegas to through Pahrump and down 373/178 to 127 (112 miles) is shorter than taking the 15 to Baker and up the 127 (127 miles). I see a shorter way which is the Tecopa Rd./Old Spanish Trail Hwy. (100 miles) but figure it may be a bad road or even dirt. I was also concerned about road conditions and any nasty grades. Any feedback would be great.
I would also like to know where to get water and where to dump the toy hauler. Thanks
