  1. 12 GAUGE SHOT GUN! The pump will scare the hell out of them and no shots will need to be fired. Plus its illegal to have a loaded weapon at Dumont. Its fast and easy to load a 12 gauge. The best protection is INSURANCE!

Think that is wrong (loaded in camp is legal). If I am wrong I hope somebody will show me, I wouldnt want to break any laws.

  2. Looks like a lot duners are armed... Great..

Just think of where that round is traveling to if you come out firing... If it gets down to something like that! Hopefully NOT!

    A .22 cal bullet can travel 1 1/2 miles.

A .45 can blow a hole in the R.V. next to you the end size of a Coors Can.

9mm can travel farther than you think.

My duty weapon is a Glock .45 ACP with 13 round mags. My ammo is Winchester 230 grain hollow points "Black Talons" but not black. When I have fired my weapon(s) "Off Duty" I have always thought where is this bullet going and am I on target... If you miss and hit something else or someone near or far away.. YOU OWN IT!! Meaning that you will loose more than you think...

I would yell out to the idoit that you have a gun... That may make them run and keep you from taking another life... Oh .. And keep you out of prison.

I think everyone has the right to protect there property and there familys as thet see fit... Just dont think its the wild west..

Good post, great advice. Nice to see L.E. with the opinion that law abiding citizens have the right to protect themselves and their families. Not all L.E. feel that way.

  3. I LOVE going to Jury Duty... i have been on 2 trials, and was the foreman 1 of those times.....

    it is pretty interesting.

i dont know about NV, but in CA, you can be excused if your employer doesnt compensate you for missing work

Not any more! It always worked before, but last time(appx. 6 mo. ago) the court sent it back stating they were no longer accepting that as a valid excuse! I had to go :(

    throw it away.

  4. donated $100.00 thru the fodd link(need the tax write-off) and dont think we can make clean-up!figured i need to help where i can!

WTF got email from paypal that my donation to <rick@friendsofdumontdunes.org>: was unclaimed???? so i sent email to <rick@friendsofdumontdunes.org>: to find out WTF. error came back-no such user hear!!!!!!!!!!! will PM vicky.

  5. black type 2 ? dont know what this is, CMB, crushed misc. base or class 2 aggregate base is what is there now.good solid foundation!

cold mix =temporary asphalt, will not work for permanent pavement as it stays pliable and im sure the excessive heat will excellerate deterioratin, plus cold mix cost more than hot mix!

if this material is coming from the 15 overlay project it is RAP (recycled asphalt pavement) or asphalt grindings, this may or may not work! IF they place 4-6 inches uniform coverage, water ,and compact there is a good chance this material will "bleed" back into asphalt! have done this procedure in the riverside area and usually it takes 2-3 years to bleed into permanent pavement(maintenence required, grade & compact). But i think with the excessive summer heat and reduced pnuematic pressure of summer this might happen over one summer!bottom line paving would probably cost close to :laughoff: half a mil, so this is a fairly cost effective experiment.java script:emoticon(':laughoff:', 'smid_16')
