We can send more if you are interested. 2012 LONG TRAVEL 300 HP TURBO 2 SEAT SAND CAR - $18,750 OBO We have been building sand rails “from the ground up” for over 40 years. That degree of experience and field testing put into this vehicle is not likely present in most the sand cars you will see in this price range. It has 21 inches of travel front and rear, 300+ turbo HP, is light weight, nimble and extremely reliable. The suspension on this buggy is nothing short of exceptional -Dual Fox Race Shox all around. Emulsion and dual external bypass. Adjust the suspension without removing the shocks. -All A-arms and trailing arms are 1.5” diameter .125 wall 4130 CRMO. The tie rods are also CRMO. -All Heim joints on the spindles and A-arms are ½” CRMO. -The front A-arms are designed with uneven non-parallel geometry. This allows for proper caster, camber and toe throughout the travel. It causes the wheels to lean into the turn with the inside wheel turning a tighter radius that the outside wheel, resulting in exceptional steering. You will seldom find this type of suspension on rails less than $40,000. Engine, drivetrain, brakes, overall specifications -Subaru STI intercooled turbo engine with an EMS standalone ECU. Engine has Outfront Motorsports modified oil pan for clearance. -Transworks fully built 091 transaxle with Weddle differential and close ratio 1st through 4th Weddle gears. -Race Trim Billet 930 Micro Stub rear hubs with Wilwood 4 caliper brakes. - RCV Performance 4340 CRMO axles with RCV German 930 race prepped CVs – clearance/polished with CRMO race cages. -Wheels are Douglas .190 spun aluminum. Both front and rear wheels are 5 on 205 bolt pattern. The front tires are Mickey Thompson drag tires. They weigh only 12 lbs. each, are speed rated AND DO NOT THROW SAND. We have used them for years and they work GREAT. The back tires are Sand Tires Unlimited 1300 Plus. They are worn but functional. -Corbeau race seats (driver’s seat with adjustable lumbar) with 5-point Crow harnesses. - Jamar high-capacity pedal assembly that is adjustable to fit persons 5’2” to 6’3”. Race Trim steering brakes. -Billet quick-release steering wheel. 9” HID headlights. Fold down whip mount. Autometer gauges, Gear One billet rack, 13 gal. stainless tank, and Spal radiator fans. IMI High-torque gear reduction starter and Full Throttle (Full River) AGM battery. -Brilliant metallic red powder coat with a clear powder coat finish. - The frame is .090 mild steel with a 114” wheel base. Overall length 157”, rear width 86”, front width 83”and 63” tall. Sorry for the poor pictures. We will add additional photos when the weather allows. Cash only upon purchase.
