OK, here it is. FEBRUARY 13-15th '09 is the date for the best spectating off-road race in NV. SNORE's Battle at Primm, as of yesterday there was 280 pre-entered . if you plan on seeing just one race this year, this will be the one.

for those that don't know this is a short course desert race. about 13 mile loop that you can see most of the action. you don't have to wait a hour between race cars passing you, there should be action every minute of every race.

so come out to Primm,NV on Feb.13-15th behind Buffalo Bills (best spectating spot) and have fun.

just think clean restrooms are just a very short walk into Buffalo Bills for the wife and kids. can get lunch there too. and maybe a few cocktails.

its a party with an off-road race thrown in. see you out there

yes i love going down there (FCS) they never treat me like a dumb a$$. great prices also..

The next local race will be February 13-15 2009 in Primm.

this is the best off-road race for fans all year.

Sierra Club endorses Dina Titus for Congress

LAS VEGAS, NV - The Toiyabe Chapter of the Sierra Club today announced the organization's endorsement of Dina Titus for Congress in Nevada's 3rd Congressional District. "Dina Titus has been a true leader in the Nevada Legislature, preserving public lands and creating wilderness" said David Hornbeck, Chapter Chair.

"Senator Titus is also one of our most effective legislators, and understands the need to protect Nevada and get things done," said Hornbeck.

Senator Titus commented, "I am very pleased to have the support of the Nevada Sierra Club. I hope to continue working diligently with them to protect our air and water and Nevada's public lands."

PLEASE BE ON THE LOOK OUT: to every one in the off road comunity be on the look out of any one trying to sell a new vertex fm radio with 4 seat intercom and 4 carbon fiber head sets, also 2 brand new parker pumpers, 4- 8" soltek lights these items where stolen from my shop on saturday while I was on my way home from V2R I have the numbers off of the radio. If any one hears of anyone please let me know so I can give the info to the police.

if you all haven't heard Cal's boat and RV is closing it's doors. i heard it may be open until Sept. 1st. so if your looking for some deals on a new trailer they might be cutting their prices, but don't quote me on that..

i'll be there wearing my black and blue SNORE official shirt. it says "Spooner flagman". hope you all have a fun time .

i picked up a honda crf 150f for my boy's first bike. it's got a small problem and i want to have a mechanic look it over.

so i was wandering if there was a good place in the north end of the city (las vegas) to take it too. i think it just needs some carb. adjustments. thanks for any help

Position drawing will take place at the El Cortez from 6-8pm. The starting number will determine your car number (except Unlimited Trucks and the 2007 class champions)

Immediately following Tech on Thurs nite, we will be kicking off the street party and FanFest for the MINT 400. Live music, food, drinks and more!! Team owners are invited and encouraged (all classes) to participate in this fabulous opportunity. Please make arrangements with me to have your vehicle and team showcased at this event for the fans and media to enjoy. is it out by the jean dry lake bed?

cuz i was out there last weekend and i saw a few class 1 cars prerunning.

just so it's not misinterpreted they were not prerunning. those were the race officials getting the gps readings and marking on the map where check points are going to be..

there will be 2 or 3 spectator sites. i will try to keep you all informed. you can also go to snoreracing.net and themint400.com

if you would like to help out and be apart of history, we are looking for race course workers. i'm not going to lie to you.. this will be a long day. the race starts at 7 am and each car has 16 hours to finish the race.

i think we also need volunteers for thursday and friday at tech. tech is from 10am to 7pm.

if you can help leave me your contact info in a PM and i'll give it to the check point guru, and he will call you..

i'm sure "SuperDave" can tell you how fun these races are....

I would definately like to check this out.

I remember back in the day when the race used to go thru apex!! I was out there partying one weekend, and had BLM taping on the window telling us to get out of the race path! Awwww memories. I sure remember Apex dunes being alot bigger back in those days!

yes it will be great to get it back at Apex. that what SNORE is trying to do. the only thing that is in our way is, if the county gets a hold of Nellis Dunes then we have a slim chance to get it back to some of the real Mint course.

come out and have fun. thursday and friday evenings we will have Fremont East all full of cars and trucks new and old..

you may want to diversify a little bit one of these years. the dunes are always there but this is a sun up to sun down action weekend for 2 days once a year. i wish it was a differant weekend too. got the daytona 500 and NBA allstar weekend all this weekend.

hey dave i'll be on snob hill as vince calls it. i think at the mint we will all be in the same camp..see you out there. i'll be there from 7am fri to noon-ish mon. :beer_bang:

Racegirl04, no it's not. this course is 13 miles long. corr's track is only 1-1 1/2 miles long. we have everything from a stock VW bug to the full trophy trucks.. lots of action all day for both days. :dance: :chug:

ok camper's i know some of you are going to Dumont that weekend, but this is going to be one awesome race to see.. there should be some great spectator area's behind Buffalo Bills. as always i'll be at the S/F waving the flags.

come out and watch for 2 days....

hey sorry for the late reply. yes i'm trying to get more involved with snore and somebody nominated me and i said if i get voted in it would be an honor. i think it would be neat as i really have nobody that could personaly

beneft from my votes. i only know just a few racers and thats just at the races. any way have a great holiday season..

you guys did great and what a fast race too, i had to come back into town before the start and missed half the race at 11:30. hope you all had fun. :dance: see ya at the next race...

do to some unforeseen problems the race has been moved to the JEAN, NV area on NOV. 9-11 2007. tech and sign-ups are at Buffalo bills rear parking lot Friday night the 9th.

oh yeah tech. is at Boulder Station friday night...
