it was by far one of the best trips yet verry funny and entertaining. cant pick a favorite thing it all was fun. see everyone next time when ever that is.

MONKIE YOU OWE ME A SPEEDO! :duniemonkie:

  2. You keep up that good attitude Michael. :flipoff:

Thank you guys for the concern, it has been tough.

    :dunno:

    Thank you, I will :D

    You sound so sensitive

    I can't imagine why? :laughoff:

Its not being sensitive, its called COMPASSION. Ya should try it sometime. I expected more from you, when strangers who don't know me are being nicer then that.

  3. yeah thank you guys.

It was my first step in the recovery process. I just had such a rough time with it and then not being able to see him before I flew back to Wa. Kinda sucked. The school counseler said I had that "survivor complex" Cause I came out pretty ok and we thought he was going to die. I am trucking along now and I know things are going to be better. I can't wait to get down to see him again, its pretty awesome. He was always living life on the edge and didn't let anything slow him down and when I talk to him I am going to remind him that this is just a speed bump in his life. It has taught me to never take a day or anything in life for granted.

I look forward to meeting some of you guys soon. But probably not til Christmas, unless there is another later night ride :pissed:

    Thank you again.

  4. I know I am a little young for this one, but my mom had a bell on the front porch that she would ring when she wanted me inside. But I guess even though I am young, I grew up a little different from my friends. We have a ten acre working ranch/farm. So I didn't play alot of video games, and I had CHORES to do. I think I have turned out pretty good, compared to the issues my friends have. :redhat:

  5. In 1998 my hubby went riding at Dumont with a buddy. We didn't have any toys then so he was riding one of the other guy's quads. My husband was leading and BAM he wrecked. When the other guy got to him, his eyes, nose, and mouth were full of sand and he wasn't breathing. Rob got his mouth cleared out and got him breathing again, loaded him up (911 didn't work out there then, or else he said he wouldn't have moved him) and drove him all the way back here to St. Rose. Rob called me at work and waited til I got there to be with my husband before he left. He came back to my house and got my neighbor and they drove all the way back to Dumont and in the middle of the night found both quads and drove back. My hubby suffered compression fracture of the back, sprained wrist and lots of bruises but it could of been much worse. Rob is my hero for saving my honey's life and my neighbor is my hero for leaving his house in the middle of the night to go help Rob get his toys (or what was left of the one)

Wow, you have got an awesome friend!

  6. Crap I forgot about the boat!!!!

    post-2396-1178242560.jpg

No he didn't build the boat just the motor and such. Thing looked like it had been sitting in junk yard when he brought it home. Kinda like what the other stuff looks like after sitting for years in the elements.

    :disco-dance: :disco-dance: :disco-dance: :tapdance:

    That boat kicks a$$

  7. Heres some of sandbobs other creations that buggychick wished you could see

Theres the 3 wheeled jetski made from a golf cart and a jetski

A Daihatsu truck with a Toyota MR2 engine in the back

His extra buggy(he diddn't build it)

Whats left of his old ranger drag racer

The first ones were cool! The last two :beerpint:  don't make any sense. The ranger was dead and buried before my mom and I came along years ago and the rail frame he didn't ever do anything with.

And where is the golf cart tow truck??? That is the coolest thing, especially when I drove it :laughoff::2cents:

  8. We don't have any family in our area, and its just the two of us soo why sit home and stare at eachother going :2cents: its a holiday? We don't have any kids at home, so holidays have just become another day. When my son does come to visit, all he wants to do is go riding and camping! We won't argue with him on that one!

We would rather be out doing what we love. Yes we even go out at Christmas! This year Dumont for Christmas! :laughoff:

DUMONT FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many more days?

    :beerpint:

Can we decorate a tree with fire works?

Will you be there? I didn't think Maureen would ever give up her holiday at home?

  9. Check this out! On the way home today, got pulled over! Said the sticker in my front window was an illeagal driving distraction. WTF??

I asked him how that could be possible, its not any lower then the factory window tint :beercheers::think:

He measures it and says ok your right. Oh and if you ever have a problem, here's my card.

On the back of the card - Home phone# didn't think they did that, I guess anything is possible these days :stick_smack::laughing::laughing::laughing:

That is freakin hilarious! What an :idiot::idiot:

    Then again...Hmmmmm???

    :think::think::blink::laughoff:

  10. Yuo can try to bullsh*t them but you can't bullsh*t me

Also the Fugly(I like that name)may be fun to drive but could be dangerous if rolled over, say like on a dry lake at mediocore speed with your son as a passenger.(will he be allowed in it?)

and how come your so sensitive???

When its completed yes I will ride in it. As I understand it there is going to v bracing in front and back, a diagnal brace across the top, and extra side bracing when its COMPLETED! Lets NOT get ahead of the game here.

And as for dangerous of rolling as I did on say like a drylakebed. I will not live in a box afraid of everything. Quads are dangerous, cars are dangerous and I am not going to stop driving/riding! The ONE thing that accident taught me was to live your life like you may not make it to tomorrow. NEVER take a day for granted.

  11. You are right.

I'm building a truggy. The pictures I posted on the first page are of truggys.

That's what my idea of a truggy is also. That kinda stuff is what my friends run and they call them truggies. They have a whole "truggy" club.

Trophy Trucks/ Pre-runners look like this:

    tt18.jpg

    tt26.jpg

    Truggy's look like this:

    022.jpg

I am sorry as I said earlier I am just a kid and now I am really confused cause I don't see the difference :headbang1: in the first three and the last one. Is it in the motor or set up? I really DO want to learn the difference.

Truck + Buggy = truggy?? :happydrunks:

I am sorry to make this so confusing, but as I said earlier, I'll be going off to college soon to learn how to fabricate stuff like this and I don't want a client asking me to make them something and totally be wrong. Or is it really just a matter of opinion. My friends have rockcrawlers and they call them truggies.
