what are you an hour from Dumont, its about 8 hrs for me and my daughter is in a soccer tournament that weekend.

wow?!? 510lb Busa/DS?!? I'll have to re-weigh our bikes!!! Balance is another issue with the Busa engine. IMHO .... Your fuel tank is in the "normal" place?

Our first gsxr build had the fuel tank in the normal place. The bike was very nose heavy and would "Nose dive" from a up hill to down hill transition. We moved the tank back under the seat and ,,,WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Balance was GREAT . I've been on 2 busa builds and if your an aggressive duner,,? Just get on one of our bikes,,, You'll see what I mean. Our bikes front end is lighter making aggressive launchs a bit tricky. The Busa bikes launch harder, front end stays down easier. But we'll get ya,,,, The Gsxr1000 (set up right) has more useable RPM and enough HP... Of course swing arm length, tires, gearing ,intake design and exhaust design all play a big factor.. We've spent lots of $$$ and testing to get the combo we run...Works real good too!!!

i will let you know when we will be at Dumont next. We normally go to Sand Mountain memorial weekend, but if they have the fourstroke war races there we will be there for the race weekend.

The Gsxr 1000 MOTOR IS 38lbs. lighter than the Busa MOTOR. What does your Busa bike weigh??? I believe the stock DS Baja weighs 504 lbs.

Kurt is Right with a full tank of fuel. We carry just under 4 Gal. What ? Gas weighs 8lbs per Gal. I think??

We build them for all around use, Our Bikes are NOT JUST LIGHT WEIGHT DRAGGERS/HILL SHOOTERS And with Kurt riding in the dunes,, well,, they need to be pretty strong. 6ft drop offs, woops at 60mph etc. Kurts a pretty aggressive rider. If they hold up with him on board?,? They'll hold up with ANYONE on board..!!

Ace is right about one thing,,, your bike is as Purrrrrty as they get!!!

My is not just a hill shooter either, it has all the brakes ect. it weighs 510 full of fuel in the stock tank.

Our bikes weigh about 10 lb heavier than a stock DS!!!!

I thought they would be lighter than that since the GSXR 1000 is 38 pounds lighter like Bud said.

Well Cool Bruce!! My Buddy did say those 1100 Gsxr engines are pretty bad a$$. But these newer Gsxr1000 are just alot more motor than people think. Everyone just talks Busa! Busa! Busa! This is where bigger is just not better!!! Heck the 07 and newer Gsxr1000 are called "SuperLiter Bikes" Putting out 180-185 HP @94-96 ft.lbs. THAT'S BUSA RANGE NUMBERS!! AND 38 LBS LIGHTER!!

I know, the new busa's have stepped up the power as well. But still!!!!

Bruce where you located? I have a very good condition, yellow, 02 DS650 roller ,COMPLETE!!! It would make a great base for your "Play Bike "project.. If your interested..

Note to Brian: that is one bad a$$ DS. I've seen many many builds and conversions over the years and yours is definitely a looker.

We need to restore the Almighty DS back to the top of the King of the Hill heap. Sandbomber had them all in his hand for a couple of years.

Yes for sure the last weekend in Feb. I have some friends from Utah coming down. I may also be there for presidents. I don't have a new calender yet?!?!? I'll get one today. My Girlfriend and I Kind of have this deal to plan trips in advance.

Sorry to say due to the economy,( my business has taken some hits) I am staying close to home,,,Dumont.. this year,,but if I sell this Blue Quad I will Have NO problem $$$$ Traveling. I still have 3 other Gsxr1000 Bikes.

I may try and sell our Green Quad as well... I really want to upgrade our A/V system to High Def... I'm still with a 15 yo. big screen,, AND REGULAR cable !!YAH,,YAH I know, I know, Gotta get my priorties in line!! lol lol

Anytime!! Is your Busa stock or Turboed? If stock we will surprise ya. This thanksgiving I ran a Turbo 1100 Suzuki in a stretched lowered drag Quad , Banshee Hill , I got him by a bike length at the start, when I shut down he was only about a bike length ahead . Now I'm 215lbs,,, with my 178 lb son on board,, It should have been a very close race..,, We love being the underdog and surprising folks. .

We will be at dumont The last weekend in Feb. I believe that's presidents? So keep in touch and maybe we can light a little intrest in this race. My buddys from Utah will be down for that weekend with some other street bike powered Quads .

we just returned from Glamis, we will be in pismo for Presidents weekend. if they have fourstroke wars at San Mountain in May we should be there.
