  1. My name is chef wally and I am new to your group (joined today). My brother was Bob "Ace" Williams who was a pioneer that helped develop the honda 250r three wheeler in the late 1970's. He was involved not only in it's development but put together the first atv race team for Honda in the early 80's. Ace was hurt on July 28, 1981 testing his new machine at his shop 3b lightning products (owned with Broc Glover and Bill Talley hence 3b). Ace spent the next 18 years in a coma only to pass on his birthday January 26th 1999. I scattered his ashes at the first Ace Williams tribute ride in 2001 at the Buttercup sand dunes just outside Yuma Az. Every year since I have returned to pay homage and enjoy a bbq and dune ride at my brothers favorite place to get away. We have grown from family and a few close friends to a full blown event. With the help of my best friend Dennis Cox (senior editor of Dirt Wheels magazine) running an add in the mag last year we had over 60 fellow atv fanatics and family on hand for my free prime rib dinner. You do not need to have known Ace to come on down and join us, but just show up to support someone who had a part in taking these machines to what we have today. look for an article in Dirt Wheels in the next couple of months on the ride. I throw a bbq free of charge as long as you rsvp when you get the email. If you are interested in attending or helping in any way you can contact me at justcaterit@yahoo.com or acewilliamstribute@yahoo.com for more info. Chef Wally
