  1. Ok at what point do you make the call and get a bigger truck? I am not talking about mine I am referring to having to follow someone at 30mph up the hill coming out of Dumont headed to Tecopa. I get it lots of toys are fun but when you are only capable of 30mph up hill isn't it time for a upgrade? I haul a 40' toy hauler with rzr 4 and quads with a dodge 2500 diesel with a upgraded trany and mild chip and can do well over the California legal limit. I almost feel sorry for the guy with the 30' bumper pull and a 1/2 ton truck that has his foot on the floor climbing hills. So should the truck match the trailer and toys or is it completely ok to do 30mph?

  2. Ok I am moving to the north west side of town and I no longer have rv parking at my house so I am looking for a spot to park a 40' toy hauler. If anyone has any good ideas or a spot open let me know. Oh and did happen to mention that I am moving this Saturday the 20th of April. Did not think it was going to be this fast. Thanks, Billy 702-449-9041

  3. Trailer loaded, packed and hooked up just have one 8 hour shift left. Wife is cooking meals and storing them in fridge. I feel like a 5 yr old "are we there yet". I will be worthless at work in the morning and probally won't sleep tonight. Man this dune fever is bad. We miss all of our summer riding trips this summer and we are all anxious to go. See yall at the meet and greet at south pole... blue vw rail and a red rzr. should have a big group with us mixed with quads, sand car multiple rzr's and rhino's. So looking foward to it.

  4. Left out late Friday Was not able to finish the vw rail prior to going so atarted out a little sad. Got to the dunes met up with friends in the fingers and got unloaded. Too late for a ride but ready for saturday. Took quads out and followed the sand cars for a bit had a blast. Made a trip out to north pole girls in group loved the wedding dress. "congrats to the couple". Got invited for a ride in friends new to him sand car. Did not realize that I was such a controll freak. Really hard to sit in passanger side and slide over razors without that holly sh__ feeling in my belly. Had a blaast OMG I have to get one of these kinda day..... Sunday was kinda lazy day but friend was concerned about suspension on new car so he said " hey take my sand car out for a little run I am going to follow you with another sand car and watch the front suspension." UUMMM ok !!! Took it out and stayed on the front of the dunes on the left side kinda behind comp hill. Found out that the front needs some love may not be enough nitrogen in the shocks. Then the other sand car told me follw me. The dunes were pretty empty so no better time to learn. Followed for a little bit and he took it easy on me. I have to say I have never had that much fun at the dunes before. I am in love with the long travel sand car. I am forever in the debt of the friend that let me drive and forever mad at him lol. My vw rail will never be the same. Big thank you to the guys on Monday that helped me get my truck unstuck. Seems that when some of the others in camp left they got stuck and kinda tore up the sand in front of where i was parked. Nothing like being buried in a dodge 2500 4x4 with a 40ft toy hauler. Got rolling out monday aobut noon. Had a great weekend. Now time to sell everthing i own and buy that sand car wonder if the wife will notice that everything is going missing. Wish me luck lol....

  5. 2003 Rm 85 renthal bars, FMF pipe, Weisco piston. Rebuilt top end about 3 months ago. This bike sat for a few years. Kid could not keep grades up so it just sat. Then he out grew it. Finally rebuilt the top end and had a friends kid ride it a few times. Too small for a 15 year old so it needs a new home. The bike is fast and in good shape. It does have some scratches on plastic and has been dropped "gota learn somehow". The number plate on the right side is missing, and it has most of the stickers removed "KIDS" plastics are cheap and sticker kits even cheaper. If you have a kid or know of a kid that needs a good 85 let me know it is just taking up space in my garage and i need more space. Possible the trx 250ex in the background will be for sale too. Daughter can't make up her mind.

  6. I use pelican boxes when in the dunes. I spent way to much time in the big sand box to be cleaning any more sand out of weapons. Two latches and water tight and air tight but always ready if needed.

  7. Can't wait just got my gopro and I am dying to go ride and video will post when I figure out the editing. Lol even stuck it in the truck and drove to work just to try it out.

  8. Got to go down for the day on Saturday. Friends wanted to test out two cr500 bikes. 20 min into the first ride and one of them went head first over the bars. All ok but he is going to be sore all week. Blew the top end on my rm 250 but had the quad to ride. Had a blast chasing two dirt bikes on a quad all day. Need to do more off weekends it was pleasant all day. Thinking two weeks and do it again.

  9. I was trying not to bother the guys at doghouse with my lack of knowledge. I am pretty sure that it was running a little lean from the looks of the plugs. I was taking it real easy learning how to drive it till sunday then started to run it harder then broke it. I already pulled the head and plan on getting two new ones. It already had the big valves and single springs but wasn't ported. Thinking the mini "D" ported heads would be a good upgrade within my budget. Thanks for all the really quick responses. Going shopping soon have to be ready for pres day.

  10. Help wanted or just share some wisdom with a newbie. Bought a 2180 mid engine 2 seater rail took it to Dumont for Haloween and blew a hole in the head, right next to the sparkplug hole and one by the exhaust valve. It has dual carbs and ran great till the head blew out. Looking to get new heads probally form doghouse but need to know what to get. Price has to stay below 750.00 for the set. Not sure what to get so many options out there. So what I am hoping is that some of the wonderful and experianced people on here can help me out with some idea of which ones to get. Been building quads and jeeps for years just never had a rail before.

    Thanks in advance,

    Billy

  11. K still have my old toys but just picked this up. 2180 mid engine rail vw trans no paddles yet but looking for them now. No rush got two weeks before halloween lol. Have to learn how to drive all over again. Really looking foward to this season. Lets see: quad, Bike, Rail, toy hauler, truck to tow it all.... oh yea wife and her quad, Think I am ready this year.post-4090-083079900 1287353716_thumb.jpg

  12. How about the Sweat cocktail. Wife had to close her eyes lol! Loved the movie the port a pottie almost got me. Poor camera man! Definately not for the weak. Guys behind us gaged a little during some parts.

  13. Ok live and learn right. New rail is a 2180 mid engine with dual 44 weber carbs with turning breaks. 4 hole vw 15" rims. Still looking for 13.5x15 paddles. I was told I could go with a slightly larger tire but not too big. I will be the guy at dumont going real slow till I learn how to drive this thing. Planning on spending most of my time ridding the smaller hills on the north side. Any helpful hints are more than welcome.
