When they stopped me for leaking, that was the first thing he checked,(license), then he checked the leak.

One of the 6 sheriffs we saw pulled us over too.

He said he was checking for people dumping while driving. Turned out we had a broken hose between our fresh tanks that was leaking.

Glad it broke on the way out instead of on the way in. It was a great weekend

They were driving around camps running license plates and looking for stolen toys.haulers and anything else suspicious.. I watch BLM drive around our camp on fri am looking for trailers dumping gray or black water

I am guessing it was stolen property

I'm glad they do that too but they sure miss alot. We were camped next to one guy with no plates, another with expired plates and I watched 3 people dump their gray.

I even saw one guy with gray just dumped and BLM drove close by him and didn't stop.

I've told people it's a $3500 fine, but they don't seem to care.

On Saturday, Over by D-13, North West of bathroom 3, the BLM and Sheriffs were by this one group all day. There were several RVs with trailers pulled up in between a couple of circle camps.

We couldn't figure out what was going on. No body was being arrested, but they kept interveiwing people.

Long stoy short, when night fell, three tow trucks came in and towed the trailers away and a Jeep.

Anybody know what's up?

You can take the wash trail all the way to the Date Farm.

The date farm has some reasonably priced gifts things to eat, and is a nice spot to visit for desert lovers.

I thought the trail was blocked to ATV's about half way up Sperry.

I'll add them to the rules page though. I doubt it will end the azzhats from speeding through camps though. I don't think these guys read the rules or give a damn....or can read in the first place!

It's a real shame some people don't observe these laws, especially around area 14 / B & C this last weekend.

I think these need to be posted in the rules section too!

OHV Operation Requirements

SPEED, TURNING, RECKLESS DRIVING

You may not drive a motor vehicle in a manner that endangers the safety of other persons or their property (CVC 38305, 38314, 38316a, 38317).

PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMIT

No motor vehicle shall exceed 15 mph within 50 feet of any campground, campsite, or concentration of people or animals (CVC 38310).

When you get out there, if it's day time, you'll be able to see where not to go.

You'll be fine, and if you get stuck, there's always somebody closebuy to pull you out! It's not Pismo

Were either of you guys camped with the guy who had the Raised pick-up with the "finger" flag on the back?

Who ever that was, was doing donuts Fridaynight so close to our camp, he was spraying rocks all over our trailers and trucks!

We were in the circle right to the South of that guy, about 14 rigs.

We always park over there because it's usually out of the beaten path.

For a busy weekend, we only had 6 or 7 people drive through our cones. :eatdrink021:
