  1. Was wondering how difficult its gona be to fix the brass looking elbo that sticks out the top of the carb? I was turning the carb and it broke when I "sorta" forced it to get by the air duct. Thanx...Mike(elbo has the throttle cable in it) :happydrunks:

  2. :D Yeah, I understood it that way. It was your reference to "old time cops" that reminded me of that night out at the hill, 'cause this guy was definately an old timer and really easy going! Nothing hard-a$$ about him.

Is there a Law againts roosting an abanded fire pit in the middle of nowhere? The "old timer" hasseled somebody for that as stated in a previous post. Why not hassle the people who LEFT the fire pit unattended? JMO :DDRrocks:

  3. I still think the "Cop drags" where great! Just letting everyone know that they are fun too. Their job is to enforce the rules. And alot of peeps got off lightly, I'm sure. We all know who we can run from now.:DDRrocks::2cents:

These guys are doing a GREAT job. :pissed:

Oh teah... where are ya gona run to at Dumont??? LOL!

  4. Yep...you figured that one out. :laughoff:

It's a long story, but 3 of us got tickets on the way back from comp. :chat: Evidentally driving your truck on the finger dune is "reckless and negligent operation of a motor vehicle".:idiot:

That's reckless but this isn't???????? :no_no: :dunno::dunno: This dude was at the top of the back/ steep side of comp and that was okay I guess....

The rangers had it out for everyone this weekend. It's understandable why they were trying to bust the drunk drivers, but after I PASSED the field sobriety test they kept searching for chit to bust me on. They said I was "swinging donuts" in my camp. This was not true- I drove in a circle around the campfire 1.5 times. They called that swinging donuts. :dunno:

Oh well, I guess it could have been worse. It just pisses me off that I was completely cooperating with the BLM 100% ("yes sir, no sir...yada yada yada") w/ no attitude and they were still being jerks. I guess if you have any kind of fun at Dumont they label you as a trouble maker. :blury:

Go to Glamis...we do what ever we want at our camp.

  5. hey hey peeps! :surrender: just wondering if anyone here was from the los angeles area (Sylmar, Ca to be exact)??? I have a job opprotunity that would require my presence in l.a. and surrounding areas. the business is located out of Sylmar, Ca. whats rent going for out there? gas prices and all that stuff. im trying to get an idea of the cost of living increases out there from vegas. ive never really liked california :shoot: , but the money i could make here would be well worth it. the job would be working for a well known race vehicle wiring guy. hes already "in" with all the big time race teams, and has several parts that he's designed/built. hes got a lot he can teach me, and lots of money i could make. im not really looking forward to moving from vegas though. having to meet all new people and all that stuff that goes along with moving. btw, how far of a drive is it to dumont from la???

Approx. 250 miles from Magic Mountain to Dumont.
