We came thru main entrance yesterday at 4pm no problems at all. I have a toyota tundra (not lifted or 4wd) We watched a lot of mohos and haulers going thru no prob also! Not too many people out here.

they are all out at the little dunes now...wait til today and tommorrow!

Just got off the phone with BLM They said the road is "very passable" even in motor homes, stay to the left. Bulldozer is on the way out.

I also talked to BLM and they said the same...They said the right side is washed out,thats why they want you to stay to the left .... but like sicandtwisted said the bulldozer is on the way!!!!

BLM said to call them tommorrow and they should have an update...I told them I was going out on Wednesday!

It was that wide easy on thursday night. I can't imagine how it wouyld be now though.

I just spoke to BLM and they are there now working on the road as we speak! If anyone wants information contact the Barstow BLM main office.

Any sign of the BLM to fix the rivers and devert the water?

Night 1, parked trailer next to Sperry Wash Rd. Entrance to Dumont was pretty much screwed. Charlie hooked up with unknown people, We will just call Utah. These other people showed up and apparently didn't like me flashing my lights at them when they pulled in. Watched the dozer do his thing, he left about 3am. Got up in the AM and decided to go to little D. Couldn't have asked for any better weather. Couldn't have asked for a better weekend period. Can't remember laughing so much or so hard. Met some new people which just added to the great time. Friday night was pretty mellow but Saturday night is off the charts. Charlie gave us a whole new meaning to FIRE CROTCH! He has also become a real social butterfly, he was the official camp host for the weekend greeting random people that didn't even camp with us. Red & Blue flashing lights can be oh so much fun! I only wish I could remember a quarter of the antics that went on. I'm sure someone else could add a little more to this thread if they remember.

I'm gonna be there thurs-sunday... Hope fully the road is open by then or we are gonna all be stuffed door to door at the baby dunes!

Well I guess if we are all stuffed into the baby dunes we can all have a great time together!

I guess if they don't do anything about the road, we probally will be camped and ride in from the little dunes

Halloween weekend! Can't Wait for Thanksgiving!

A group of us is coming from Ut. Haven't seen anything posted about it yet. Are we coming to empty dunes?

We will hopefully be heading out around 6 or so on Xmas eve. Who else will be out there?

Don't be dissapointed the trick or treating was awesome for the kids. Plenty of camps decorated and handed a ton of candy. I will go back for again. :peeps:

It was awesome- we also put up an inflatable haunted house for the kids to trick or treat through- just wait til next year, we'll do it up better for next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if any of you heard, but word has it that there will be a company setting up an 8 trailer setup into a haunted house for Halloween weekend. It's the outfit displayed in Pahrump every year. There will be people hired as monsters and all sorts of stuff.

I don't have any other details, but sounds like a great new addition to Dumont for Halloween.
