Up for sale is my barely used Suzuki LTR450. This is a fuel inject 4 stroke quad designed for racing. I bought this bike new from Simi Cycles and only used it a few times as I spent most of my time on my sand rail. This bike has lots of upgrades and has around 15 total hours on it!!! I have not gone to the desert in 3 years so it has spent it time sitting in my warehouse. If you are looking for a quad, this one is as good as you are going to find. Asking $4400 OBO
Location: Chatsworth, Ca (Los Angeles Area)
Upgrades include:
Yoshimura RS5 exhaust
Yoshimura PIM EFI tuner
Blingstar Nerf Bars
PRM Front Skid Plate
PRM A-Arm Skid Plates
PRM Frame Skid Plate
PRM Swing Arm Skid Plate
Trailtech Eclipse HID head lights
Traiiltech Fat Bars and triple Clamp
Front shock covers
Full set of paddle tires with razor backs for the front on aluminum rims
Original rims and tires. The original tires are barely even used.
Plastics are beautiful and clean. Bike has a brand new battery and fires right up. Runs better than new. This is a very fast bike and arguably one of the best and most stable quads out there!
If you are interested, contact Scott at: Eight One Eight-262-4227 or PM me.
Serious inquiries ONLY!

Hey Pete it was nice meeting you over the weekend. Daniel told me he thought you were cool(that's a good compliment from a 9 year old).
Were gonna try and make it out for the clean up (Danny says were there).
Thank's for all the support.
Don't forget to ask Pete about the KILLER DDR pot lucks!! :eatdrink021:
Jokes aside, those were some of the best meals I have ever had camping!
Its great to hear that Daniel is doing better and made it back to Dumont.. I bet he was bummed that he couldn't get on his bike! That had to be hard for him. I havent seen any updates of late on the caringbridge site so it was great to hear this news! Thanks for the good news and our best wishes as always to Daniel and his family.
-
Here is some MUCH better footage!! Crazy to say the least! Click
-
I am so glad he is doing better! I hit the caringbridge site several times a day to see the updates.. Looks like it will be a good XMas for the Murphy family.
By the way Pete, I saw the Daniel Murphy page here and that was really nice! My hats off to you! You are a class act! DDR's support for Daniel and his family is inspiring! Its amazing how many people have been brought together in a time of need.
DDR rocks!

Oh BELIEVE ME, as a business owner, I REALLY feel I pay my fair share of taxes, (that IS a whole other arguement) but here is my concern about this bill.
Who is going to pick up what is needed for Dumont to be the Dumont we know and LOVE??
I'll pay what ever enterance fee (as long as its fair!) I need to, to keep what is a play spot for us.... course thats just my two cents.... or 6 figures in taxes
I agree.. Eliminating the fees creates its own set of problems.. Who is going to insure that we have adequet law enforcement as well as medical staff. What about maintenance on things like the outhouses..
Also, what kind of new crowds will come in if there is nobody there to regulate.. The fees help keep some of the trashy folks out. I bet without fees the number of quads, rhinos and rails getting stolen will rise due to the fact that the theives and misfits who have no money will flock to the dunes as it will be like a free for all..
The topic of the misfits at Glamis has long been a source of contention at Glamis. There have been many threads on the topic and one of the suggestions for eliminating some of that was to raise the rates. I cant say that I agree but there are some valid points to the argument. I would be happy to pay more if it makes the dunes safer and more secure.. At the rate of the dunes sports growth, our kids generation certainly wont have safe and secure dune sites unless somthing drastic changes and I dont think fee elimination is the answer, even though I do love saving money.. I will happily pay my fees as long as they are required..
-
Hey Scott, will this be the first time back out the the dunes with the car since you went through it?
No, I went to Glamis for Thanks Giving. The suspension was off so I spent much of the time working on it. This weekend will be a suspension tuning weekend as well. There is sombody coming out to Dumont that specializes in suspension so I plan on getting it dialed...
There will also be a crew or person filming 3 minute clips of rails duning which will be compiled into a DVD at the send of the season.. At tleast that is what I understand.
-
There is a great probability that I will be heading to Dumont this weekend.. Just wondering who else will be out there.... Hopefully there will be some DDR folks ready to roll!

Hey guys,
For those of you that have not been to Daniels site this afternoon, it looks like there is some VERY good news.. I hope i'm not out of place posting this. It's looking like all are prayers are being answered... This could be a really big weekend! Here is the latest report.

DTV: The Human Perspective
Let us get away from Science and Facts for a Moment to discuss the Human Perspective.
When Dawn called me this Afternoon she told me what had happened in Daniel’s Room. She was very excited as she told me the story.
The Doctor showed Danny how to Suction the Fluid out of Daniel’s Mouth. Today Danny was using that Knowledge. As Danny was suctioning the fluid, Daniel started to shake his head.
Then Daniel raised his left arm and laid it on his chest.
Danny was obviously excited and reached down and took the Little Man’s hand into his and asked him if he could hear him.
Danny said Daniel slightly squeezed his hand.
The Nurse saw this happen and went to get the Doctor and that is when he ordered the new Cat Scan.
Danny was a little nervous because at first he remembered that coma patients can have muscle movements, but he insisted that he knew it was Daniel and the Results are in Danny’s Favor.
So now you know the Story behind the Story.
P.S. Remember when I said that Daniel’s
Condition can change from Minute to
Minute? Initially the Doctor said we could be
waiting for up to 30 More Days before Daniel
would be ready to start waking up? And now
look at what is Happening.
-
Damn, V-REX lives!!!! I thought this car was never going to be completed! Cant wait to hear how the shake down goes! Keep the pics coming!
-
I read about it at GD and hot boats as well.. Absolutely horrible! We are praying for you guys also. Keep us posted.

I have been in the middle of a complete tear down and rebuild of my Sand Rail. One of the things we were modifying was my light bar so that it could be mounted further back. After we disassembled it, we realized that some of the ballasts had broken tabs.. Probably from vibration.. These were the older (2+ years) 8" HID's with external ballasts mounted to the light bar which was made by Baja Designs as well. I called Baja Designs to see if they had new Ballasts available which they did not. They asked that I email them some pics which I did immediately. I also did a quick search on ebay and found some of the same ballasts cheap and picked them..
Well, the next morning I get an email from Baja Designs asking that I send my lights and broken ballasts to them so that they could retrofit them to the latest lights with internal ballasts... I about fell out of my chair! I immediately packed them up and shipped them off.. 2 days later (today) I got the call that they were shipping them back to me.. All upgraded with new baskets and whatever else was needed to convert them. I guess that was almost everything except the glass and bulb. To top it off, they are not even charging me!! I cant believe it! That is a company that takes a lot of pride in quality and service! I will NEVER buy another brand of lights again! Now I need to figure out how I can afford a couple more so I can replace a pair of oval HID's that came with the car!
For those of you considering other brands of HID's, I would highly recommend Baja Designs! They are a great company and must have one heck of a loyal following.
Thanks again Baja Designs!

whats up Scott.
Well, here's the scoop. There will be no more potlucks in our camp. They were great in the beginning, but they got way outta hand real quick and just aren't worth it anymore, especially to those that were "hosting" them in front of their toyhaulers and to those that were stuck on the grill so everyone else could have fun and eat. It's just like the giant group DDR camp thing. Once cool, but got too big and just isn't the same. Those are a thing of the past as well. We still meet up at the south pole on the Saturday of most bigger weekends for a DDR meet & greet and sometimes coordinate a ride to follow.
How did your car turn out with the color change? Is it done? I haven't seen any pics yet.
No pot lucks?? Darn.. Those were some of the best potlucks I have EVER attended.. I can totally understand though.. You guys worked your tails off.
Would you believe the car is not done yet.. Chet Huffman keeps trashing his race cars and his crew has little time to work on mine between the repairs on his.. It is supposed to be done in about 3 weeks. They promised I would have it about 2-3 weeks prior to halloween.. I guess their whole crew is going to be on it after this weekends race. There is only a couple things left to do on it before it goes to powdercoat. They need to finish my new dash, make a cover for the shifter, move the light bar back and add new mirror tabs for the new mirror.
Paint work is done though but I have not seen it yet. No more black fade and the flames were extended a bit. Shocks are at the chromer getting a black chrome job. The frame is going to be a textured matt black as will the spindles and trailing arms. I think it will be pretty bad a$$ when it is done and frankly, I'm actually kind of glad it's in their shop and not my garage right now.. Although I am getting a bit impatient.
-
Hey guys and gals! Hope everybody had a great summer and is surviving the heat wave... Its been a while but I am getting that itch for cool duning weather and potlucks! Dumont seems like the place to kristen the new season. What's the DDR game plan for Halloween? From my search, it seems like there is a bit of split between the weekend before and the weekend after but nothing official that I found. I think we might want to come out again and hang with you guys. Whats the scoobie doo?

I am not sure what kind of water pump you have on your trailer, but the one on my RV is on 24/7 even when it is in my driveway. I also have one on my trailer which I normally keep of to spare the battery since I dont normally have it plugged in at home.
Most water pumps that I have seen don't run unless the pressure drops and I think most of them are adjustable as well. When I first got my new trailer the water pump in it would chug away all the time when the switch was on but after adjusting it properly, the only time it can be heard is when the faucet is running. My motorhome pump works the same way. Pump only fires up when needed.

Here is what I would do if I was in your shoes..
I would create the same topic ad GD.Com as well as a couple the major RV/Trailer forums.. Then get in contact with a regional sales manager @ Raptor as well as Carls and direct them to this thread. You may also want to direct the dealer you bought it from to the threads as well. The fact that it could hurt or help their business will get them working for you too. Make them all aware that this is no way to service a customer, especially one who has an issue like a braking problem that could result catastrophic consequences. In the end, the public will make a judgment based on the way your issue is dealt by all those accountable and accordingly, it will either be good or bad for business.
If you handle it diplomatically and NOT out of frustration, you might be surprised how they will respond. An issue like this can be VERY bad for business. A brake problem, could result in injury and even death and for a dealer to refuse to work on it when they get paid by the Mfg to perform warranty service just compounds things for the Mfg. Depending on how you look at it, it also demonstrates the dealers potential disregard for the safety of Rators customers and even its own. I don’t think the dealer has the right to deny you warranty service.. I think that if you make it a public enough matter, the appropriate people at Raptor will want to turn this around for you in order to save face in the publics eye. Then, if they do right by you, you make that known.
All things considered, the service managers @ Raptor will NOT be your best ally. The regional sales managers whose income depends on sales volume will on the other hand be your best ally not to mention that they also will have the most influence over your local dealer. Issue like these can and usually do result in loss of business if they are made public.
Make sure you document every call, conversation as well as messages you leave as the facts will speak for themselves.
Bottom line.. Bad PR is PR, but this can also be used as an opportunity for a company like Raptor to turn this around and get some decent exposure. Service is everything especially after the sale. You just have to "lead that horse to water" and he will drink!

So.... Where they out there?
-
I was looking forward to the first ride report! Glad to hear it went well! It sure looks great! Now it's time for some action shots!
Congrats again!
-
That was fast!! I cant believe you got it already. Looks great. Cant wait to see the good pictures. I am surprised you are not making a b-line for the dunes today!
-
Wow, that was pretty fast! I was expecting at least a few month long thread! Car looks great! Cant wait to see it in person at the dunes this next season when I am healed up and back to my old crazy self! I assume you going to take it out for at least one trip this season? I wouldn't think the heat will stop you! Congrats!
-
I would think he would use an off the shelf and readily available chain roller. Take a picture of the old one if you still have it and post it one of the qual forums. I would think that most quads have them as well as a number of street bikes and it shouldn’t be that difficult to match it up. Then again, since you do have a lathe, I guess all you need to do is find some delron.

I think you guys covered nearly everything except...... A collapsable trash can for outside.. You know, those green ones that turn into a frisbee. They are great! Wish I could add more!
2006 Fleetwood Providence 39' Triple Slide Fully Loaded Diesel Pusher With Only 16,000 Miles! Reduced $97,000 OBO
in RV's / Trailers for sale
Posted · Edited by scott
I am selling my barely used 2006 Fleetwood Providence 39S RV. 2006 was the last year that did not require regular smog checks. It has only 16,200 miles on it! I am the original owner and this RV has had many upgrades. No accidents and is in absolutely great shape! You will not find a better deal on a comparable providence with this little usage. This engine is barely even broken in. This RV will sleep 7 comfortably!
It has a pair of brand new deep cycle 12V starting batteries and 4 brand new 6V house batteries. These were just replaced a few weeks ago. It has a Pioneer navigation head unit with sirius sat radio, a built in K40 radar detector with laser defuser, CB radio, upgraded TV Switcher that allows the remote to control the Sat and DVD from any TV on the RV. It has an outdoor flat screen TV, extra refrigerator in the lower outside storage, home theater style stereo outside outside with nice speakers, propane hookups outside for the included BBQ. The KVH satellite dish was upgraded to track on the go as well.
The dinette converts to a bed, one of the sofas is a pull out sofa bed with a queen size mattress. The master bedroom bed has 2 separate controllers to adjust the bed comfort separately for each side. It has a built in washer/dryer, a huge cedar lined closet as well as a separate sink in the master bedroom.
It has a huge side by side stainless refrigerator, two air conditioners with separate zone controls and an Onan generator. It also has a custom hitch receive mounted up front. I used it for a motorcycle carrier as well as a for an extra storage rack when I need more space while on the road. It also has electric awnings that automatically retract if the wind picks up.
The engine is a cat 350 on a Spartan chassis. I have all the manuals for the RV and chassis.
I am asking $97,000 OBO for the RV. I paid nearly $200,000 for it when I bought it new. If you are interested, call me (Scott) at Eight One Eight-262-4227. The RV is located in Simi Valley, Ca.
