  1. Just wondering if people are still heading out with this rain coming. I don't feel like driving 300 miles one way to sit in my motorhome. I can do that in my driveway!!!

Just got a call from my friend 2 of 3 people not going, Just me and another guy and his family now. I don't think it's going to be all that bad. Won't know if I don't go. Besides that, got everything loaded and ready to leave in the am.

  2. Great weekend. Got there friday afternoon around 1pm. Meet up with some folks out at the Hill. Saturday was great. Had a good time racing on the grudge side. My 05 trx 600 run great. Hadn't rode it or grude race it for about a year. Felt great. the pic is how it get it to the hill

  3. that section of whoops off to the right was kickin people around pretty good, from dirt bikes to buggies.

I had just got to the bottom of the hill and was turning around when he started to head up, and everything was looking good, and as I took my helmet off, I looked up the hill again and the bike went kartwheeling up the hill, then back down the hill a rotation, I thought that the whoops got him, he was right in the "not so sweet' spot where alot of people kept gettin a bad rhythm as they were climbing and would have to back down off the throttle a bit, didnt know the bike turned on him, but that would explain the kartwheel i suppose, it was a rough one for sure, but he got right up at first and walked around to the left of the bike and then two rails were there right away and then another quad just after them. I am glad to hear he is doing ok, and I wish him a speedy recovery on the aches and pains! it was a pretty nasty spill for sure.

Thanks for the info. I was just trying to figure out if it was something mechanical with the quad. We just got it together. It's a 450 base motor that we built to a 600cc. We were out there to do some gearing/suspension tuning. Sounds as if it was just the woops. My son showed me his tracks. From the bottom it didn't look like the woops were to bad. the tracks just took a hard right. Guess the rear suspension bucked him.

  4. Yesterday aroud 2 pm my son crashed going up comp on our honda 450. I was at banshee and some one in a sand rail came and told me that my son crashed. I,d like to thank them.

When I got over there a couple of sand rails were helping get the quad to bottom of hill. I'd like to thank them also. Also the two guys who helped lift the front of the quad up on my tailgate of my truck.

If anybody saw what happened, could you let me know. My son said the quad took a quick turn to the right then to the left, then flipped up hill.

He's pretty sore right now, don't think anythings broken, just bruised up alot.

Thanks again to all that helped us out.

  5. Was out at banshee hill yesterday. There was some people there with a truck and a small enclosed trailer. I was parked close to them in my truck. I tried to get my utility trailer in there but couldn't, got struck twice at the entrance. didn't want to air down the tires anymore, as i didn't have my compressor with me.

Any how, a ranger came up and said no more trailers allowed at comp & banshee unless it's a sanctuned event like the FSW next weekend. What's up with that?

  6. I was out fri-sun. camped by B/R 6 The last time i know for sure it was there was around 2 pm saturday. my sone filled up quads. There was always someone in camp. I was up till 11 pm but others were up till 2 am sunday. I got up around 6 am and noticed they were gone. 3 5 gal clear plastic jugs with 110 gas. found some foot prints in sand that didn't match anyone in camp. followed them for about 100yds, then lost them. maybe they jumped in a truck or utv who knows. I guess i'll have to invest in a cable/chain to secure my stuff. Been going out there over 5 yrs and never had anything stolen. Live and learn.

  7. For anyone that goes to Sam's Cycle, you probably know Tom who works there. Well he is opening up his own shop right up the street from Sam's. It is the building where the KTM shop used to be on Rancho.

It should be opening up sometime in March.

    Just a heads up. :beercheers:

It's called FCS Motorsports. I stopped by there a few weeks ago to buy some stuff instead of going to the honda shop down the street. One of the sales folks used to work at another M/C shop with my son. I stopped by there again this past friday to pick up some oil and filters for the engine rebuild i'm doing on my quad. I just bought s new cylinder, piston and head from a shop in AZ. I didn't have a ring compression tool, so I asked Tom if he could install the piston and cylinder for me. I felt a little awkward doing this since I didn't buy these parts from FCS. He said no problem. Took it there yesterday, and got it put together. Got to chat somemore with Tom and Dan the mechanic that did the work. Both very nice and professional. Dan did a great job.

I'm going to buy anthing i need for my quads from them instead of stealerships. They have a good inventory of parts and tools. Great place. I like helping out local small busnisess.

  8. I was out there last weekend also. was there with some folks i work with. Had 3 m/h and about 6 tents. had 4 rails, my 2 quads, and like 5 mini quads.

got there thursday afternoon. great weather all weekend. one rail broke, broken axel.

only saw one ranger saturday riding through camp area, passed another one on my way out on sunday around 11 am.

comp hill not all that busy. would race some folks with my 06 trx450r, beat them, and then have to wait around till someone new showed up. went out friday night around 8 ish, only a handful there, most of them just sitting around. a little bit busier on saturday. there were a couple of quick banshee's, one had Bud Lite stickers on it.

  9. I am planning on buying an annual pass but I have read that all passes must have your last name and license plate number. I am buying a new truck in December-January, can I transfer it to the new vehicle, or will I be SOL and have to buy another pass?

    Thanks In Advance...

I'm wondering the same thing. Just bought my season pass at JW. I seen on the front that pass is not valided if name and lic or not filled in. In my case, i can either take my mh or my pickup, so don't tell me i'd have to buy two passes. I've bought season passes before and never had to put anything on them. Another thing, say i gave the pass to someone to use for a weekend that i'm not going, can't even be a nice guy and help someone out.

    Tell me it aint so

  10. I have 2 sets of extremes. had em for about 3 years. never had a paddle come off or lost a bead. i'd get a set of 21/12/8 6 paddle. got mine from fulerton sandsports. $250 a set on douglas .120's. ordered mine about 9 am one day, were at my house the next day. Call them up. tell them what mods u have, they'll set u up with the right tire/wheel combo
