outlaw 500 flywheel

i have a polaris outlaw 500 and busted 2 teeth off the flywheel thus the bike would turn over but would not start, tring to pull start in any gear would only result in the rear locking up. so i bought a new flywheel and when we pulled the broke one off the bolts heads behind it were shered off. so we replaced them and installed the new flywheel. the bike started and ran. well i sold it to a friend and he rode it for 20 min. then we went out for 15 min. the following day and it did the same thing. I havent cracked the cover yet but its the same sound and symptoms. i know it did it for the second time. does anyone know what could be causing this to occur? i have a procom cdi aftermarket and was woundering if the change in timing could cause it however i have used it for over one year and never had a problem. im stumped but need to fix the issue as i sold the bike to a friend and now this keeps happening. anyone???????
