TheyKnow27 Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 im burnin up coolant really really fast like every 2 rides i gotta fill it back up...anybody have any ideas on what the problem could be? Quote
EY3BA11 Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 runnin too lean, air leak somewhere, blown head gasket? just a few things that come to mind. any big changes to the bike lately? Quote
Mr. Edgy Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 (edited) If your "burning" coolant.....that's your answer. If you are losing it out the overflow that's another thing. Try "Wetter Water" or "Engine Ice". Also, radiator gaurds severely restrict airflow. Make sure you are diluting to a 50/50 mixture. Too much coolant is worse than just water. TheyKnow27 Posted September 7, 2007 Author Posted September 7, 2007 none at all its a stock bike...its not runnin lean...the air leak could be a possibility...ahh i dont know i just wanna be problem free this season...ive got the itch bad i need some sand and it would be a real buzz kill if i had to keep workin on it out there Quote
EY3BA11 Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 take i tto a reputable shop and see if they can help you diagnose... btw a airleak will cause it to run lean in turn heating it up more... so just cuz your jetting is on doesnt mean you arent running lean Quote
