  2. You know we didn't all build these bada@# little machines to let them sit around. The drive is worth it, I'm coming from Oregon. So get your trikes ready and get loaded, even if it is just for a weekend, Go old school and throw in your stuff in a small trailer and come down for friday and saturday fun. Or go big:) There is way to many enthusiast not to have a good turn out of 3 wheelers and 70 owners. Thanks Pete for the support! Look forward to seeing everyone.
  3. 2013 Camping with atc 70s and trikes at Gordons Well March 11-17 Gordons Well, Glamis CA. This is a informal gathering of people who love 3 wheelers, ATC 70's to 250r's. Come down and camp and hang out. I am posting this to spike interest early and get some people committed to the weekend. I am not one to wait for everyone to agree, This is nice time of year and there will be a bunch of 3 wheeler guys there and that is good enough for me to travel a 1000 miles:) I am starting this new thread to see who can plan on this weekend, We will be bringing down 3 A+ trikes and 3 rigid 120cc and 4 88cc and 2 Tri Z 250s and a hell of a lot of stuff to drink at night. I have met most of the guys at the Regattas at Glamis and Dumont, and would love to be able to do another great trip with everyone. I am not going to organize anything or be the leader of this, I simply wanted to get a thread started and people to be able to commit to a weekend, anything else that comes of it is entirely up to those that choose to come down camping. Thanks LaPoint Family and Friends Jason, Garry (my dad) Ryan (best friend) Megan (tried to kill herself the the banner flags at last Tres Regatta, Cooper (my son who has 3 tri z 50's and is 14 months old) and I am going to bring down some others.
  4. I have watched for years the BLM create mountains of paperwork for Vendors and Event Organizers, Basically it comes down to, if the BLM person in charge that year likes you or not. because no one meets all the stupid rules they have in place. I like the idea of the little dumont dunes, I like to ride sand and last years track turned to dirt. I think we could all ride on the little dumont dunes and have a great time duning and hanging out. If you can't call it a "Rally or Regatta then I guess we will just show up on a common weekend and have a Dune Trip. I think we could have a great time, I think that Trophies and T-shirts do not need to be part of weekend. We should start a new thread, Who's Going on a 70's Dune Trip to Dumont Little Dunes on Feb $%^#%^ I'm in:)
  5. My whole fam had a great time. We were sore as all hell, I think an Iron Man Team race next year with pit stops for rider changes and 3 riders per team would be a good event so when your tired you just pull in and have your buddy take it:) Themed teams with matching uniforms and pit crew should be judged for best team trophy as well...lol. Thanks to Pete and crew for his efforts, even my wife had a great time with our 6 month old little boy. We will be there next year for sure. Jason LaPoint I love all the pics, I will be buying some of them as well.
  6. Nice to here from you again, I sold TRF a couple years ago and moved to Oregon, I'm not bringing any Raptors, but my 155z A+ will go up Banshee hill no problem.... we can race:) Come on by the Regatta and hang out. Also, Thanks Dunefreak:) We are ready to enjoy our little trikes, we will be coming in on Thursday and leaving Sunday afternoon. Let me know if you need anything.
  7. Jason LaPoint here, my father Garry and my friend Ryan are coming down. We just got all our bikes running. few A+ 's few 120's and a few 88's and a stocker. We are very excited, been waiting a year for this one. Never been to DDR but went to Tres Regatta the last one. Lookin forward to seeing everyone again:)
  8. We are coming, we are going to bring a lot of 70's. Very exciting!!!
  9. Man, I was hoping you could make it. I am coming down to Dumont for sure next year for the Regatta. I would love any advice you could give me for putting on this event. Thanks Jason LaPoint
  10. Dumont Dunes Guys: Please help me out... we need some fun ATC 70 Riders to make the Trip to Oregon Dunes. Volunteers Welcome. Call Jason at 971-338-3358 or text or email jlapoint9@gmail.com In honor of the Event that started it all, We have created another "Tres Regatta" at the originalsandfest.com Sand Fest in Coos Bay Oregon June 29th - July 3rd. The event is on Private Sand Dunes attached to the Oregon Dunes just north of Coos Bay Oregon at the Legendary "Box Car Hill" Class structure is the same as the Tres Regatta Events, but given the size of the track we can run everyone together. Drag Racing will be with a Real Tree up Box Car Hill. Don't worry the hill is not too steep. Stock 70's can make it:) Also the Show and Shine will take place with the Sandfest Show and Shine at the main Stage. All Trophy's are sponsored by Direct Drive. The ATC 70 Track will be open starting Wensday June 29th. Trophy Events will be held on Saturday July 3rd. Below is the schedule. We are going to make this an annual event. Jeff the Owner of Fullbore Innovations, and founder of the modern Sandfest is also a ATC 70 fan and has some fast machines. Myself, Jason LaPoint and my Father Garry LaPoint who attended the last Tres Regatta in Glamis Compound will be hosting this years event.
