  1. I dont know if it's a common practice, but while up in Montana last year with friends, they turned off their water pump in the RV and opened all of the facuets and shower and just kept a small heater which kept the trailer above 50 degree's all winter, and they claimed it never frooze. I've seen this in Idaho as well, but I've also heard that water heaters were mostly all plugged in to keep them at 60 degrees or drained.

According the weather reports, Vegas is suppose to be getting possible snow on Monday-Tuesday this coming week, so the temps are really dropping, might be a good idea to either drain or plug in and keep the RV above 50 or 60 degrees.....

Last winter here in Helendale we had SEVERAL nights in the single digits. I used this theory... Drained the water heater, drained the whole trailer via the low point drains, AND left all faucets wide open. Did not have anything break or crack. This system seems to work for us and I tell everyone I no that has an rv of any sort to use it, good luck, and BUNDLE UP!!!

  2. you are not going to get anything more then 35.1" out of a 255/70-22.5 I have a set sitting on a 07 dodge megacab WITH the 5.9 in my driveway. If you would like some first hand experience with this stop by my shop in the morning. You can take a look, take a drive, and drag race my OTHER 5.9 megacab. Both 07s and both have within 1k of the sam mileage. Stock on one and SINGLE rear wheel and 22.5s on the other with an exhaust and intake it will flat SMOKE the single rear wheel. I mean leave it in the dust. If you would like to hook on to the 17k trailer and take it for a spin Ill show you towing 17k does not show any effect on power or EGT when running the 22.5s over the single rear wheel....

I do not need to read internet forums for my info. i may have been off on the 33 as they are right a hair over 35s... ( I was stabbing in the dark) I drive one everyday!!

Your right, why was I thinking that gears would have ANYTHING to do with tire size! :laughoff::laughoff:

  3. 22s or not the tires are only like a 33 so no big deal if it is 3.73s.

I love the dodges and have a megacab diesel 5.9 2007. i have someone who can usualy find you a good deal on one.

even the new ford is having ALOT of problems.

No way are those only 33's. 22.5 wheels are huge. Most you talk to on the Dodge forums reccomend at LEAST a 2 inch leveling kit for them! Most I have looked at are a minimum of like a small 37.

    An example...

    Tire Size

    Ply - Load Range

    Overall Diameter

    Single Max Load

    Price Each

    255/70-22.5

    16 - H

    36.3"

    5510 lbs. - 120 Psi.

    $235.99

    and another...

    Tire Size

    Ply - Load Range

    Overall Diameter

    Single Max Load

    Price Each

    255/70-22.5

    16 - H

    36.9"

    5510 lbs. - 120 Psi.

    $325.99

I would HIGHLY advise at least 4.10's with 22.5's IF you are towing anything heavy!!!

  4. I wonder where the drinking water spigott is? The only one there i know of is where the sewage dump is. I was told by the owners of the station that those spigotts there are NOT safe for drinking? :freakin_nuts: Damn, Id love to be able to fill up with water there instead of at home and haule 1350lbs of water up the cajon pass.

Fill up with water at Flying J in Barstow. It's off the Lenwood road exit, I'm sure you've been off there at that exit before...
