  1. It's soo cool how the turbos is always an option with the busa's.

The silver single seater is only coil overs you can see the bypass tabs in the incar.

And if 30k gets out to my wife I'm done with, so shush!!! u2 babert

    Check this out: http://www.minibuggy.net/modules.php?name=...topic&t=452

This is where I have spent the last 2 months trying to decide which mini to build. Trust me, I could go on and on with thoughts and "opinions" of minis, especially after the UNBELIEVABLE ride in Dunefreaks SSC. But I am still stuck with Tompro. Everything from Design, safety, and looks, to upgrade abilities, price, options and customer service seem to impress me. Their videos show the hardest beating anyone else has posted or shown off. Next to the Sunset ride in Dunefreaks car. Even though that wasn't on camera, that was a beating well taken :driver: .

Check out the turbos on video # 16 @ Buttercup. http://www.tomprodesign.com/Video%20Gallery.htm

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, NOT AN OPENING FOR ABUSE :thumb:

  3. My list could go on and on and on and on :blah:

--the sunset ride with Dunefreak :barf:

--the ride with OGP with the dunetracker leading :D

--wheelies with Joeduner and OGP

--Grinding Jim's gears down for him a little bit ;)

--rippin the flats next to BaBerts DS :whoop:

--Seeing BFBob do 90 over the whoops to Dumont Base to see his son :(

--Meeting a few more DDR peeps (and actually remembering their names) :shake:

--Pretending like I'm not scared when the tracker starts sliding sideways on a 300 ft dune :dunno:

    --Effen right!!! :shake:

    :boxer:

  4. :DDRrocks::MBdance: Dunes were beautiful, weatehr wasn't too bad (remember: no wind, no dunes), bike ran good, got the ride of a lifetime :barf: in Pete's mini, :driver: and Tim & Joe's Funco rides today were UN. BE. LEIV. ABLE (can't wait to watch Woody's side by side wheelie video in full screen)!!!! Can't forget to mention the "flats" with Bert either :thumb::beercheers: or getting the chance to beat on Jim's LT  . Thanks Guys, for everything!!!! :DDRrocks: Can't wait for the day I'm tearin it up and scarin someone in the passenger seat of my Tompro with you guys!!! Sorry to see the crappy torsion situation on BLBob's car, good lookin ride though. Hope Barefoot Chris is OK :blury: . See you all in a few weeks. :woo_hoo:
  5. Im out!!!

OGP: "Im hatin, because pretty soon if this TREND keeps up, We are going to start seeing spinners on friggin sandrails and soon after that probably DRIVE BY camp shootings. Im glad most of these cars are out at Glamis where most of the Posers hang out. And yes X5 come out and dune with us. The more the merrier. And im just messin around. I have a set of 24 inch LEXANI triple bling wheels on order for my Funco.Hey check me out.... my car is 4 feet off the ground and looks bitchin. What do you mean does it turn? Why do I need to turn? All I do is hang out at the hill and then go to the sand drags. LOL aND YES..... THIS IS SARCASM guess I should have typed in red, Or is sarcasm blue? Sorry Pete forgot what color sarcasm is."

Found this little quote in the classifieds.

    ???????? :mc_smiley:

  6. How much do these cost? Ever consider a turbo 3.8 buick? 400 hp is super easy and 450 ft lbs. 550 is even pretty easy.

ps, I ve got about 10 of them, so yes Im biased.

US 3.5 Engine, harness, and Burnable ECU out of a 2005 RL with around 40k, $1200. I still have not figured out how some of these "sand rail engine specialty shops" are charging what they do. Yeah maybe its bolt and go, but it's not that complicated to get an adapter plate, clean up a harness, and E-Prom a Honda ECU. DIY brothas DIY

What do one of those 3.8's cost?

  7. could that not be the same motor ??? or are both those numbers truly peak numbers i dont see how 2800 rpm can be peak tourqe but who knows......................

One is a 3.5 Honda/Acura and the other is a 3.2 Acura/Honda. I just seem to be torn because both are such good motors. I wish I could see the actual Dyno Charts to compare at all RPM. I'll just keep searchin. She's budgeted for a maiden voyage on Presidents day 2008. You know how it goes with the Wifee :shout: and all so hopefully everything goes as planned. :dunno: Heck its only 20K right :D

  8. If the first one makes 300 / 260 then at 5250 the torque is lower...lets say 250, and since hp and torque equal each other at 5250 then it must make about 250 hp at 5250. 260 @ 5500....sounds like it is the second engine. The second couldnt be a suby, no suby will only go to 5500? Just spin it higher and make more power.

I like the second one, but nothing was said if these were peak numbers?

If they are, the second must be making 234 ft lbs at 5250.....if it makes 260 hp at 5500.

Basically they are the same, just the low end torque of the first is unknown. At the same rpm they are nearly identical.

    These are PEAK numbers.

  9. :beercheers:

    300 hp @ 6200 rpm & 260 ft lbs @ 5000 rpm

    or

    260 hp @ 5500 rpm & 235 ft lbs @ 2800 rpm

Which one for the dunes in a 1600-2000lb buggy, all other details aside?

I know its hard but we gotta try leave all other aspects and variables aside. Unless there is one factor that you feel MUST be considered!
