I'm not a Dumont guy at all, but I did watch it. Looked to me like the video PEER put out on Glamis a few years ago, Nothing but the bad stuff. But like a couple of you said that stuff sells. Did any of you catch in the begining when they said ONCE A YEAR Dumont is like that, or people meet there? Really only once a year? I only got to watch the first 15 minutes but from what I saw I thought it was damaging to our sport. But looking at the preview for next weeks Party Heat show it looks like they find the worst of the worst people and situations at populiar places. I sure as hell hope they never do one at Glamis.

What did you do with Nick? You need a reason to rib? Really? CMFP is right I FOUND the owner and you can read all about this fine piece of art on my site in the next day or two. One of the finest cars I've seen in a while. Shut uuuup it is too.

Thanks. I saw his signature. I'm pretty sure thats not it. This rail has HUGE gussets, a lower A- pilliar and a windshield and was sill running at the dunes as of Presidents day and if I remember right they still drive it on the streets of Glendale.

Lesse Places I've "put up with Nick" Glamis dunes.com ASA BBS Got Dunes.com now here. I WAS banned for life from Glamisdunes but was asked back. Still do alot for the ASA even thought I was once banned there. Got Dunes can kiss my Arse. I'm not into that drama anymore. So Nick has been on all those BBS's and not banned I think that makes ME more of an annoyance than him. So I guess I can't whine too much about him. Even though there is a lot to whine about.

One of the reasons I started the site was I've been putting ALL my friends through the ringger asking them, often times more than once, asking them for advice while I was trying to put my rail back together. I ran into a bunch of cool people MORE than willing to give me help. I figred there were lots more people out there like me. Or worse there are going to be a lot of people like me who will need help. Then I seacrhed for a site like it and couln't find one. So I decided to make one. I'll put up the cars that people sent me that are for sale. I get these GREAT write up from people who seemed to put all kinds of sweat and hard work into their car and love the hell out of it. Then the last line is "Oh any you can own this car for $XXXX" I have 3 or four cars that I know of that are for sale in my list of "readers rides" I'll do my best to put them up by this weekend. And when it comes to Nick (ISBB) I've been putting up with him here and there for almost 5 years. I'm glad to see some people don't change.

Ya I'm gonna be bent if the only comment someone has about my site is that they assume I stole stuff for my site. The stuff that is up there without the other peoples knowledge didn't have any markings on it. When it came to finding examples of frames that meet what the text called for safety wise, and was a positive portrayal of their product How or why would they say no? Jon I never called you grumpy. Nick there were several people that turned me down that I didn't use picturs from. Some people just wanted me to use links to their site when I was MORE than willing to add "Pix provided by" In those cases I went a different direction. You have no idea who I have permission from and for what pictures. Nor is it ANY of your business. And before you go any further with your PERSONAL ATTACKS why don't you find out FOR SURE what I "STOLE". As in get proof from Bug Pac. Until you know what your talking about I would suggest you PM me with your comments.

That's what the site for...kind of. Ya we all look for that car that fits our budget and doesn't need that much work. But nobody said it was going to be apart more than together. You will not know a darn thing your doing, and you hope and pray the way you put it together right the first time will be right but take pride in figuring out the REAL way it was suppose to go together. It's either that or shell out $50,000 for a car. I ain't got that kind of money.

I had a great responce from people on this board in September when I came up with the idea of a site devoted to low-dollar rails. A lot of good people, and a few bad ones helped me with some of the contents. It' my fiorst time ever putting a site together so don't be shocked if it looks as cheep as the rails we're talking about. As always I'm up for abuse when it comes to sugestions. Dang Rich, I think that's what I said. or meant to say anyway. Glad to see another firts time poster come to the board for the same reason I did with the same thoughts I have. PM me before you post next time maybe I won't have to write so much. Save people from reading the same thing twice.

First let me say that I KNOW this I my first post on this site. But what brought me here was this incident that happened over the weekend. Like ANY human I am very sorry to hear what happened. My thoughts go out to the family and friends of the people who lost their lives over the weekend. It has been a long time since I too have lot a fiend in the dunes and I still think of them each time I first see the dunes off in the distance. It’s HARD to deal with. Gary I gotta ask you this question. I KNOW you say that the builder of this vehicle has NOTHING to do with the death of these people. I do not know you. I do not know the amount of expertise you have in the subject of chassis construction. You say that it doesn’t make a difference. I don’t want to take that chance. I do not want my fellow dune friends and family to take that chance. If you know that there is another car out there from this builder then I would say it is your duty as a duner to inform us who this builder is. IF there was a non biased governmental crash investigation team that would pick apart this incident with a fine tooth comb and come to conclusion that this chassis in fact held up PERFECTLY and did what it should have done. I would wait for their conclusion. But since there is no investigation team and all we have to go on is hearsay and our own knowledge of fabrication and the shape the car was in after the incident then it is the responsibility of the people in the know to share information freely, and without biased, to other duners so they (we) can make our own conclusions. Maybe, MAYBE there is another car out there, like this one, made from the same material and the same specs as this one. IF the owner of that car knew that he has a car similar to this one and he can make changes should we (you) with hold information? And IF I were to be looking for a chassis in the future should I not be told the truth about what COULD go wrong with it in the case of a similar roll over? We COULD be talking about the livelihood of the builder and his family. I understand that companies don’t always get their product right the first time. Sometimes it takes MANY tries. Look at the Pinto & Chevy’s fuel tank issues. Those are two HUGE companies that had a flaw in vehicles that were already tested an released. It happens. The wrong thing for them to have done would have been to sit on the info. Gary if you don’t want to post the builder here on the board that’s fine. But at least PM me with the info so I can make an educated decision the next time I buy a chassis. Others may or may not ask you for the same thing. But me, I want to know. Don’t worry I have my own site dedicated to low dollar rails and wouldn’t stake the reputation of my site by slandering the builder of the chassis. Who knows if I find out that his stuff really does stand up I can help him sell his stuff. Sorry my first post on this site has to deal with such a horrible tragedy. But sometimes bad things bring good people together.
