Yesterday the winds going up were bad.

They didn't say if it was raining or not, so I am assuming it wasn't bad!

We are planning on leaving at 6ish tonight, we should try to caravan, if you would like to!

NICE. we are leaving tomarrow morning at 4am when are you guys taking off? .. are you camping right next to their comp hill or in another site? (we will be next to comp)we have a 40ft raptor w/ the logo ALL or NOTHING on the back, lifted grey dodge mega cab. Does anyone from your camp bringing a rail? The weather detailed report says slight chance of rain threwout sunday and at least the wind report is really good.

Was certain ,despite the crapy weather in little sahra ,lm leaving tomarrow moring. then came here and read the blog on dumont didnt realize the low 80's out there this weekend......i dunno :breakdance: dont mind a 30 percent chance of rain up in UT just dont want to get water logged over the weekend.. other then dune chick anyone else sayting screw it and just take the 7 hour drive??????????

Anyone been to Little Sahara for Memorial weekend? I heard it gets super packed like Dumont on Presidents Day.

Just curious. My plans might be forced to be changed for that weekend and I just MIGHT be stopping by there instead of Coral.

Was heading up to little sahara on wed. for the weekend, but i just looked at the weather report.. poopy!!!! the temps are really nice but the rain forcast is way high... ill make the call monday night either to stay put or bare the rain.. 20 -30 % chance i can handle but 60% all weekend is alittle much for little sahara.. damn and i just got my rail out of the shop..... :dance:

we have a lot of disscusions of what to do on issues here is a couple of things i actually saw that were working at glamis.

i know some will never agree , however i saw it actually working which makes you think.............

#1) sunday morning when we were packing up i did my trash run by glamis beach store there were roughly 20 dumpsters lined up a trash truck sitting there and they were all clean !!! trash guys were watching and everybody was doing a good job of getting there trash into the dumpsters ( we have all seen the old pics where it didnt, but they tripled the amount of dumpsters and it was working )

#2) camp racing, rangers and highway patrol were enforcing this issue big time and again it was working. they were even nailing side by sides traffic speed on the flats were way down.

#3) vendors row was the cleanest it i had ever seen watered down 5 mph sighns posted and it was very well layed out.

#4) law enforcement they were utilizing highway patrol local sheriffs and blm large presence and they were puting out effort. they were working the road to olds and nailing drunks constantly. they had less luck with litter. but the ones they caught were made to pick up there trash cited and some were asked to leave the olds area. they had enforcement at gecko drags on each end . a crash occured they were there in seconds blocking each end and tending to the victems clearing the accident and allow the drags to continue.

all in all it was quite a sight and i was impressed there was a real effort going on by leos .

i think dumont could benefit from these practices if applied properly. i know we all have gone back and forth on this but what i saw was proof that it can work on a few of these issues we pull are hair out over.

i was out thier for the first time on thanksgiving also bob. and i agree with everything you commented on. but damn why does glamis have to be so huge. almost scary to venture off alone with a rail in those dunes, wasnt sure if i would ever make it back to camp. apply the things at glamis into dumont , and we will have a bad a$$ sand box to play in..

That is hardcore, how many times do you have to dump your tanks and refill in that amount of time camping? i have a hard time staying three full days with the family and making the water and gas last.

Hey PJAY, was that you out by the south pole on kickoff weekend with trans troubles? I cruised up to a 4 seater that had broke his trans sometime on that Sunday (the 7th). I asked if he was ok to make sure he wasn't stranded out there and he said he was ok. I think it was 2 guys and a girl. Was that you? I was on a Raptor 660 followed by a white LTR450 and Suzuki utilty quad.

Oh helllllll yeah! You know you want to! That would be awesome if you came out Terry. You HAVE to since you aren't gonna get much dune time in this season. I don't know wtf this talk about an official DDR camp is though. I haven't been invited yet. I might be all by my lonesome that weekend. I haven't really talked with anyone yet. That "camp" word seems to be almost as bad as "potluck" lately. :peek:

Nope not me... i broke saturday afternoon , on the woops ontop of comp. made it back to camp..and chilled..i have a silver/blue "morphic tyrant" looking rail..with (2) big a$$ white flags with blue chevy bowties on them...

Let's do it. South Pole, Saturday Oct 27th, 2PM. Meet up, chat, say hi, hang out, maybe hook up for a ride, etc.

Let's see if we can get even more DDR people than last time. It was quite the turnout!

Hey PJAY, I think you were right in front of me on the way to Dumont....that is until sand~snake had a tire issue and we had to stop.

we drove out friday afternoon around 3pm. i have the "ALL or NOTHIN" sticker on back of the toy hauler.. i was wondering what happen to you after the left turn, one minute you guys where in the rearview,then gone. ??? i had a blow out on the way home, right befor the mt. pass it sucks..oh well that why we have spares... ill be out for holloween if you see the toyhauler stop and say whats up....

No that wasnt us.. i had the grey dodge mega cab with black rims and a 40ft raptor toy hauler. if looking at the back of comp hill we were the camp left of you...

my buddy ryan was at that camp it was full of correctional officers from what ryan told me they threw a beat down on that idiot. and yes he was sleeping in the truck. i thought ( i could ne wrong that they got nothing and one gotta beat down) all hearsay i wont confirm or deny anything as fact.

my stuff was locked up like fort knox and i had bp guy so i was ok

they didnt break any windows at our camp.. they poped the door handle. took a cell phone that we found later that day near by, but the stupid dumb a$$ left his black/white fox helmet in the truck..lol so i guess we actully made out. lol did they really find the guys that were involved????? if so ,a simple a$$ beatin and he can have his lid back...
