  1. BTW. I apologize for insulting anyones ride. I ended up doing the same thing I was irritated at in the first place. I would like to see some pics of the cars you were talking about though.

  2. im getting an excellent deal customer built the motor and couldnt pay for it.

higher nickle content in steel slows cylinder wall deflection earlier 60s motors didnt always have a high nickle content so big boost gains saused heavy cyl deflection quicker

the power gains in this motor dont match the power of my blown 383 but it does slightly exceed the hp gains of my old 454 small block 600 hp 575 tourqe which was almost a perfect balance for the cars weight , gearing, and tires so matching it down to those spects should make it quite enjoyable.

where my 383 with the big blower is completly over powering the car plus the over heating and no reliability

why is it steel i dont know i like aluminum but my springs are rated for a heavier iron motor 100 pounds approx. overall

i am being told repeatedly that the ls1 is more dependable than the small block by lots of people and there are several customers that are runing small blower ls1s season after season with no trouble.

im hoping for that concept i need dependability my car works flawlessly other than the motor woes

so i threw this question out there to see if there is any negative feedback about ls1s vs small blocks

or anything i should ask or look for before i purchase. everything ive seen and heard tells me ls1 is dependable and the hp range seems good to me.b and see if anybody has anything to say about the steel ls1 to the aluminum ls1 :headbang1:

supposedly this motor is not a stroker , he says aluminum the max is 402 ci steel 409 ci any rebuttle ??

EDIT: correction the motor has a 4" stroke crank its basicly an ls1 turned into a small bore 427 but he says its as far as you can go on that block. 409 cubes

The new Escalade block can be bored and stroked to a 415. Cbm says 610 hp on pump gas. Thats what Ill be using

  3. No, because its a mosebuilt its not a Monster. If it sits 4 feet off the ground and you use it to run over crushed cars in a parking lot, Its a Monster. And I totally understand that a desert car and a sandrail are 2 different types of cars and each has its purpose. What I dont understand ARE SANDRAILS that look like Monster trucks.

I tend to agree with you about the whole" lifted" thing. I do wonder though what car specifically were you talking about? The funny thing about alot of the comments on this site to me are with the people that talk s#@t

about the dual purpose cars. Its as if you can only have a car for sand if you want to go to the dunes. Why wouldnt you think its cool to go duning one weekend, and then go haulin a$$ at 120 through some woop infested

wash the next? And trust me, guys with "sandcars" are far more interested with the looks (bling) than they are

with the quality of parts they put on the car. My car might not have any powder coat or paint this season cause

I just decided to go with an Albins instead of an S4.

Would you believe 26" of travel front and rear? (Not my car but it will be real close)

  4. What is the deal with all these new MONSTER TRUCK type sand rails now? Me personally, I cant see the need for a sand rail to be 4 feet off the ground. This has go to be the stupidest thing ive seen in a long time. Does a guy really want the center of gravity to be that hi on something hes going to take duning and possibly slide? Its no wonder people are putting all of these cars on there lids lately. Why dont they just buy a friggin monster truck to take to the dunes. Hey I guess its looks over function nowadays? And in my opinion, Those bigass cars look poopd*ck. Dumbasfu-k!!!!!

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black! I'll give you the fact that Funcos are great duning cars, but they "look" like some sort of Miss Piggy mobile or something. I'm building a new dualsport Mosebillt right now.

I knows its probably alot bigger than your car, does that make it a monster?
