  1. I'd highly recommend changing the bracing below the a-pillar, that top side tube will bend pretty quick if you roll it, especially since the lightbar frame is welded to the front top and will apply a good amount of load to the a-pillar.....

  2. ok, I just found some pics of your rail, I am gonna assume it's a homebuilt. If you decide to do some mods to the chassis, I would suggest putting a brace under the a-pillar to the floor, as it is in the middle of a tube right now and will easily bow down in a flip, and I would highly suggest running a cross tube between the top of the shock tower hoops before you rip those hoops off as well.....

  3. I would seriously consider having the chassis sandblasted and have someone go back over those welds with a tig to wash them in, every weld I can see in the second pic, from the arms to the center carrier, looks very unsafe. Is that a sick sand car or a homebuilt?

Was that 1/2" tab already there when you bought it, what the hell....

  4. Not sure if this is the best place for this, if there is a better forum, please feel free to move it.

This buggy and trailer were stolen within the last 48 hours from Russellville Arkansas. It's an edge buggy. The buggy and trailer are a one of a kind, attached are pics of the black trailer, and the buggy. Just trying to get the word out for a member in another forum...

  5. If my guy gave me lock jaw  Dude would be a soprano the rest of his life.

I think she meant she would get lock jaw from what she would be doing for a long time as payment for effin up his rail, lol....

  6. AWESOME actually. I thought about this recently and was gonna post up how it has been, but I forgot until you bumped the thread.

I have put a ton of hours on the motor since I upgraded the stator & rec. I've done three trips total, all of which have put many hard hours on the car and they have held up great. I'm very happy with how it works. The HID's firing up and running the fans & lights together at night have not given me one single issue. :beerpint:

Looks like it works and seems to hold up just fine! :DDRrocks:

sounds good, i'll wait a little longer to see how it does over time before I try it out though. I hope it doesn't give you any issues....

  7. Higheroctane:

Yes I'm in Vegas , actually Boulder City. Just got back from Dumont. Our Gsxr Quads and Blue Busa car performed EXCELLENT. Nothing could touch our Quads.

    Yoshi:

Yes, Luke builds our frams, but I do alot of mods to make them our own.

Thanks for your imput on the bump steer thing. I ran the PISS out of it this weekend, with our heim spreader mod and the addition of the steering stablizer , Now these cars are a pleasure to drive!!!

    Bud

No problem, glad it worked out. You can make some decent money buying kits and doing the final completion, plus it takes a lot of your work load down. I don't make very much off my frame kits, and I have a ton of money wrapped up in R@D and fixtures to produce them, so off frame kits alone i'd prob. break even for what I invested to produce them in about 10 years, lol. I make my money on the completes......

  8. Hello to all!! I guess I should introduce myself on the " New guy" thread. We hang at dumont alot so I guess I will be visiting this site more often.

I've been building Gsxr 1000 Quads but this year started building Busa cars.

    Enjoy Bud

Are you just buying Force Tek (formally known as Sonic) frames, and doing the final completion?

  9. The guy is obviously really good and i'm pretty sure he has made that same kinda jump a ton of times, and the passenger has prob. seen him make the same kinda jump before.

People ride passenger with guys jumping the double at Glamis and that's some serious air and potential for a really bad accident, people always think that's cool.......

  10. I run Neal rear brakes, rotors and hubs. It is a 3 piece setup with the rotor and rotat hat bolting between the main hub and the center section, so you can just order it without that setup.. I actually order mine without the splined center section because I build my own stubs, hubs and bearing carriers to mount in his unit...

  11. Hmm Brian King told me he has Rick's build his up and he puts them in every one of his cars that have lots of lights and has had no problems. Is your guy using the same place as I'm talking about back east?

Brian King is the builder I am talking about, I just talked to him last week. Might wanna call him again and see what he says. I was calling to order some from him and he said he was not real happy with the guy that did them........

King told me about them at the SSSS and was stoked about them at the time. I called King last week to order some from him and he said not to waste my time, they all failed. Unless he found someone else in the last 8 days since we spoke on the phone, he is not using them anymore.....

  12. I was talking to another busa manufacturer who stuck 10 of them on his rails and every one of them took a sh*t. I was rather disappointed cause it was gonna save me almost $800 going that route instead of the alternator setup.

I forgot exactly what he said happened to them, just that they "malfunctioned"....

  13. i only caught a glimpse of him off in the dunes once and he was bookin.. other than that i saw him runnin around the flats at dumont :D Car looks good in the sand.. Now hurry up and get more out there

2 of the batch i'm building right now are getting turbo and motor work, 400hp+ to the ground, wanna go for a ride?

These 2 are on their way to Dubai for the international auto show, one of the old, one of the new...
