  1. Well finally talked the wife into ordering a new funco, so pretty motivated to sell this car now. Proven reliable again. $16,500.

  7. Is anyone going following weekend? 22-23.
  8. Solved, hopefully i get the oppurtunity to save some one else's butt. Thanks all.
  9. So last weekend the wife and i went on a dusk ride from camp to north pole. We arrived there shut off buggy and let our daughter out to play a little, got back in car went to fire up and nothing, dead battery. By some miracle there was a group of buggies there also and thankfully offered to pull start me. Anyhow my interest is in the recovery strap he had , it was one you loop around chassis and keep braiding it back through it self 5-6 times. Kind of chineese finger trap design. Id never seen it and id like to hunt one down, but cant find them. Ive searched recovery strap, tow line, no luck. It was really nimble with no hardware to scratch your car. Any guidance is greatly appreciated. Also if the guy who helped me reads this, again thank you, you saved me from walking all the way back to camp by vendors and leaving my wife and daughter with the car in the dark and wind!!
  10. Please forgive me for hyjacking, although id like to find out who does the shaving and vulcanizing on the bfg's. Any info is greatly appreciated. PM me to keep it off this thread. Thank you!!
  11. Well finally fanigered it out. So the engine builder deletes the Iac valve and welds a plate over the three holes in bottom of throttle body. Where stock iac is located. Says iac's clog to much, And after totally pulling out my hair and hauling my buggy down to phoenix and looking at a stock throttle body it struck me!! Just because you weld a plate over the three holes does not seal off one from the others, so it was squeaking by whatever crevese there was between the three holes and the welded plate, if that makes any sense. Anyhow a little steel putty in the holes inside throtte body, problem Gone!!! Man, i always get this weird crap. Engine buider says he has done many like this no issues, i think no one bitched and just lived with the crap. Either way all thanks for the advice. Was going to run the buggy one last time this week end but casey asked me to run a check point at mint 400 instead. Sure twist my leg
  12. Hello all, Installed a 3.2L acura in my car. Immediately upon startup has weird intake leak/miss. Whats weird is, it did not do this at the shop whrere i purchased engine and guys ran in front of me on stand. It resembles a intake leak. When i pull off one or more of the vacuum plugs it does the same thing only worse. I have tried spraying brake cleaner and eather around the intake, throttle body, runners, no luck finding leak. Ive pulled throttle body off , cleaned reassembled, still issues. Im at the point where i need to pay someone who knows these motors well to fix. Can anyone reffer anyone to me that is willing to work on a sandcar. Here is a link to a youtube video of the issue in action. Any help greatly appreciated. Also Thank You Pete for letting my come take a look at your motor.
  13. Ok, so Engine is running Normal Aspiration right now so i can get some trips in on the season pass I purchased. Fired engine up for first time earlier last week and right away had weird miss at idle only. I assumed first off it was a o2 sensor that I foolishly forgot to weld in to the exhaust but after fixing that still crappy missing idle. So i borrowed a buddy of mines OBD code reader and it showed P1519 Idle Air Control Vavle Circuit Failure. So after hours of research trying to find out where it was located on the throttle body and why i was not seeing it, I shockingly realized it bolts right to the bottom of the TB right where the engine builder (Doomsday Motorsports , Phoenix AZ) had welded in a block off plate??? Ive had numerous calls into them with non-supriseingly failure to return calls. First Question, any of you 3.2- 3.5 guys running IAC Valve under Throttle bodie? Sencondlly Would like to save anyone the frustration of dealing with these guys as I have. They Have multiple ads on craigslist (shoot myself for going that route) I guess when the deal sounds to good , IT IS!! Thanks for any feedback.
