More RPMs, Quicker/faster tire rotation. etc. Banshees too are lighter ,Quicker, get up to speed faster, NO ARGUMENT,,,, P/W ratio,,,RPMs We did a little experiment, 170lb rider on our Green 1000 and a 170lb rider on my buddys Busa The 1000 wins. Video on our web site. Then a 250lb rider the Green 1000 ,,170 lb rider on the Busa,,,,,,,,, Busa wins!! then 250lb rider on the Busa 170lb rider on the green 1000 ,,,,,,1000 wins,,,,, BUT,,,, race was just as close as with 2 170lb riders TQ vs HP vs RPM!!! remember we are DUNERS/ hillshooters , ,,,duners first,, best((((((( ALL AROUND!!!!! ))))))) performance!!,Bring us any Quad that can dune with kurt and then run 80mph ( 90 on NOS) up the hill ??!!?/ Where is it?? where??? lol this is just fun!!!! Do(((( MOST))) drag shees run 90 mph?? Up Shee hill??? according to you 90% do and would beat our 90mph ?? Is that right?? I think this is my favorite cartoon!!

You Know,,, all this talk is a matter of opinion. YES !!! We feel ( our opinion) The Ds650/Gsxr1000 conversion is the BEST combo for a Quad that can run with the big boys in the dunes, 4-5 feet drop offs, hit the woops 50mph, pretty smooth ride, Balance and handling, ETC,, ( WAY BETTER RIDE/HANDLING THAN ANY STOCK QUAD!!!) AND be VERY COMPETITIVE against the Shees. Now our stock 1000 will run 80mph up banshee hill ALL DAY LONG!! Alot of banshees will too, soooo" just as fast works"!! WE KNOW THERE ARE FASTER SHEES!!! but can those guys run the dunes behind Kurt??? Now how many Shees hit the low 90mph range??? Our experience,,,,not many,,, We do,,, on the Button. ( Yes the NOS bottle Was on the Blue bike for all to see, always has been) Truely,,,If anyone wants to be" KING OF THE HILL" I know where to get a top fuel Busa engine?,( Not really a Busa anymore) The old saying "HOW FAST CAN YOU AFFORD TO GO" Hey Kurt!! I'll tell ya a little story them my thoughts on this. Banshees always run the left SIDE and all others run the right side. My Blue bike is for sale, so on Thanksgiving I wanted some exposure, so I went over to take on some "Shees." ( Kind of the dark side for us big 4 stroke bikes) lol The "Shees" left??!??!? I ran the hill twice SOLO??, I sat at starting Spot for a bit, NO TAKERS??? Then just for kicks I rode behind and In front of where they all were parked, Thinking" Hey maybe someone would stop me and ask "How Much" or some interest". ALL I GOT WAS ONE GUY YELLED "STAY OFF OUR SIDE"??! SO I ran the hill again, NO TAKERS!!! I thought it smart to leave ( the crowd looked a bit like east L.A.) I NEVER see a shee,come over, AND run the right side.. THEY WOULD BE WELCOMED!!! My thoughst are, We are in a different class ( Shees and street bike Quads) ALOT of the shee hill shooters are slammed, stretched,and have little suspention. Right side gets a bit rough for them to run. So they stay on the left AND PROTECT IT, to keep it smooth???????? Or is there CLASS warfare at the hill??!?! I'll be making a point to run the "Shee" side!!!!! We have run a few shees and we are right with most of them. the super Shees are just too light and have too much HP,,, 10 mil,,,Methanol etc,,. US??,,,all stock motor,,91 pump gas.. However, we have never ran them on NOS/// ,100 OCTANE..?? Stay tuned BRUCE,,,,,, WHAT DO YA SAY WE KICK SOME BANSHEE A$$!!!!!! wow?!? 510lb Busa/DS?!? I'll have to re-weigh our bikes!!! Balance is another issue with the Busa engine. IMHO .... Your fuel tank is in the "normal" place? Our first gsxr build had the fuel tank in the normal place. The bike was very nose heavy and would "Nose dive" from a up hill to down hill transition. We moved the tank back under the seat and ,,,WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Balance was GREAT . I've been on 2 busa builds and if your an aggressive duner,,? Just get on one of our bikes,,, You'll see what I mean. Our bikes front end is lighter making aggressive launchs a bit tricky. The Busa bikes launch harder, front end stays down easier. But we'll get ya,,,, The Gsxr1000 (set up right) has more useable RPM and enough HP... Of course swing arm length, tires, gearing ,intake design and exhaust design all play a big factor.. We've spent lots of $$$ and testing to get the combo we run...Works real good too!!!

The Gsxr 1000 MOTOR IS 38lbs. lighter than the Busa MOTOR. What does your Busa bike weigh??? I believe the stock DS Baja weighs 504 lbs. Kurt is Right with a full tank of fuel. We carry just under 4 Gal. What ? Gas weighs 8lbs per Gal. I think?? We build them for all around use, Our Bikes are NOT JUST LIGHT WEIGHT DRAGGERS/HILL SHOOTERS And with Kurt riding in the dunes,, well,, they need to be pretty strong. 6ft drop offs, woops at 60mph etc. Kurts a pretty aggressive rider. If they hold up with him on board?,? They'll hold up with ANYONE on board..!! Ace is right about one thing,,, your bike is as Purrrrrty as they get!!! Bud Come on out to Dumont Presidents!!!!

Well Cool Bruce!! My Buddy did say those 1100 Gsxr engines are pretty bad a$$. But these newer Gsxr1000 are just alot more motor than people think. Everyone just talks Busa! Busa! Busa! This is where bigger is just not better!!! Heck the 07 and newer Gsxr1000 are called "SuperLiter Bikes" Putting out 180-185 HP @94-96 ft.lbs. THAT'S BUSA RANGE NUMBERS!! AND 38 LBS LIGHTER!! I know, the new busa's have stepped up the power as well. But still!!!! Bruce where you located? I have a very good condition, yellow, 02 DS650 roller ,COMPLETE!!! It would make a great base for your "Play Bike "project.. If your interested.. Looking forward my friend!! I just need to wait this rain out for the fine tuning.. Hey Vic! Talked to Curtis today, We had a long talk about this race. (Remember he had the Yellow Busa Quad our little Green Gsxr1000 beat up on) He sold it and built a Gsxr 1000 Quad.. wonder why??? He gave a chuckle.. He won't make it down in Feb. His parents 50th wedding , so were thinking 1st weekend in March,,, I'll keep ya posted. Big Guns Our bikes are fuel injected and run perfect A/F ratio anywhere you go. NOS system is in and ready for final dial in!!! But this stinking rain will make us wait till Next weekend. Videos/Radar will be Taken .. I think I can,,I think I can,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, lol After you see the Video/Radar running the hill,,,,,,,remember,,,,,our little 1000s are GREAT Duners.

Good point Kurt.!! Wow, all stock motor?!? with 15-18 lbs. boost and a BIG shot( amount not disclosed) of NOS..?!? I guess those older 1100 are built pretty strong. I have a buddy up in Utah with a Turbo Busa car and he has thrown rods on 3 motors at 15lbs boost?!? Now he stays below 10lbs. So well above 200hp Bruce??? sounds like you maybe in the 300 hp range?,? Wow, what was I thinking shooting off my mouth that we could run with ya!! Our little Gxsr1000 Duner with a 40hp shot of NOS doesn't stand a chance!!!
