People that mainly drive just around town don't like the regen problems but the people that use them and tow don't have any issues and love the extra power, 6 speed auto, and exhaust brake. If I was still working I would have one, but I will probably be buried in my 5.9 red truck.

My mother in law did a filght for life from Pahrump to Vegas and the bill was over $15,000. Very lucky they bought a MASA plan for $3500 a few years ago that paid for the chopper ride and ambulance rides. I think I will check into it!

There isn't lock out hubs so I assume the front drive shaft turns all the time just like my Dodge and my Jeep.

Got the drive shaft off, took it for a ride and it didn't change anything so back to square one. 25 mph let off gas no vibration, 45 mph let off gas and terrible vibration or shudder that shakes the whole truck, put it in neutral while coasting and it sitll vibrates, put it back into gear and give it a little gas and vibration goes away.

Any ideas now?

I took the bolts off the front u joint and the drive shaft will not pull off the rear, am I missing something? Also the front u joint won't pivot back and forth????

I have a guy I can take it to, I might take the drive shaft off and take her for a spin to make sure that is the problem then check on the bushing.

Checked all u-joints by pushing and pulling and none seem loose. I can probably push the front shaft at the transfer case a good 1/2 to 1" in any direction. Would Adams change the bushing? Any idea on cost as I would have to load her up and haul to Vegas.

Ok I went to SLC and hauled the truck home. I have not taken it out on the highway to duplicate the vibration that my son said it had 50-75 mph but drove 45 mph out the road and when I let off the gas the old vibration/shudder that it had when I first test drove it is back but so bad it shakes the whole truck.

While coasting I can put the tranny in neutral and it doesn't change, while in neutral rev up motor and doesn't change, put in gear and give it a little gas and no vibration.

I crawled under it and everything seems tight and normal except for front drive shaft at transfer case moves up and down alot when I push and pull it. I checked my Dodge and Cherokee and they don't move. Could this be it and if so how do I fix it?

Single cab so no carrier bearings, will check the drive line, guess I have to run to SLC and haul her home.

Had a thought, since he drove it for a month or so before fixing the oil leak and it didn't have the vibration then or during the check period after fixing the leak would the drive line be the problem? Shouldn't it have done this all the time since we bought it and could he have not lined it up right when he hooked it back up? He left the end connected to the rear end so just disconnect the front part.

Son changed the spacer between transfer case and tranny, that was what was broke and leaking. He test drove it around here for a few days and no problem. Drove it to Salt Lake City and between 60 mph and 80 mph there is a terrible vibration, other speeds no vibration and the closer he got to SLC it was hard to tell at what speeds it would or would not vibrate.

Any ideas? U joint?

Ouch! I was thinking $10K on the high side and I was right in that it is an old high jumper frame and found out that the motor is a 2110cc.

If I did a trade for this what could I sell it for? I would only trade for it to sell so be honest, seems like for that kind of money he could have built a LT 4 seater.

What does it take to convert a swing axle rail to irs? Is there a kit and would it be easier if I have a irs car donor?
