  1. Hey this is Danny's wife. We were out there Presidents weekend. His number is 775-209-3837. Give him a call anytime if I happen to answer I will have him return your call. He loves talking about his car so give him a call...

  2. Daniel is doing amazing. He is now back in school full time. He is celebrting his 10th birthday on Monday the 14th. He is very excited. To look at him you would never know what he has been through. He is almost back to 100%. He is an amazing child and still has his quick wit.

As parents we will never forget the thoughts and prayers that went out for our boy and family. We will always hold a special place in our hearts for the duning community. I will answer any questions you have if you have any.

    Have a great day,

    Dawn (Daniel's Mom)

  3. i know wut happened

but hes back on his feet and ready to ride again :dope: ...makes u question life

he was doin wut he loves :dope:

ive had an experience just like that

cousin went in for a heart transplant...gotta have confidence that they WILL come through

and the dunes im talking about u cant camp in

ur talking about the little dunes off the road and those are MORE dangerous than the big ones

people can haul @$$ because its just up and down...no major drop offs

im talking about the ones back in the corner on the south end of the big dunes

they are smaller and no one goes there

sure people will get hurt there and there will be crashes

its not a matter of if ur gonna crash its when

not many people go there and u can always keep a birds eye view from up top

u can walk to any dune over there if u need to see ur kid

im assuming that the rest of u thought i was talkin bout the dunes off the road

thats like a 5 mile trip that im not willin to make to ride those dunes

Yea I know he's back on his feet again I'm his Mom and he is still recovering.

I misunderstood which dunes you were talking about as when we refer to the little dunes it's by the highway. Either way no matter where you go you need to be safe & have fun at the same time.

  4. y would he hit a buggy...thats not very nice

did he go up and smack it hith his hand??

i mean if he was pissed he shoulde slashed the tires cuz hittin the buggy would probably hurt his hand :dope::dope::dope:

HAHAHAHA just messin...thats wierd...when i go there theres usually only like 5 people there

    mustve been the timing

Perhaps you don't read the whole sight. Daniel hit a sandrail at the little dunes on the Sunday after thanksgiving in the afternoon when a lot of people had loaded up to go. Also don't be to confident with the little dunes they are just as dangerous we have been going there for 9 years accidents happen anywhere and you have to remember there are different strokes for different folks.

Daniel has been riding since he could walk it doesn't make it 100% safe anywhere. I agree if you want to rope off a portion of a finger dune go for it just leave room for people to pass on the top.

For your information Daniel was in the hospital in a coma for 31/2 weeks and we are extremly lucky to have him.

One day when you get older and have children you will understand. This sport is a passion and we have to understand it's for everyone and we can make accomidations.

  5. I'm glad to hear Raymond is doing well. We were camped with Ryan when they came back and told us what happened, it broke my heart.

Boys never understand that they aren't invincable. I can actually unfortunatly say I have been in that scary situation with my boy to.

Good luck Mom on holding him back.

  6. Hello Dune Family,

We are very excited to tell you Daniel is progressing at lightning speed. He has been released by his neurosurgeon with no restrictions. He can do what he wants (if he can get it past us). We are pleased to announce our first trip back to Dumont as a family will be President's Weekend. Daniel is upset he won't be bringing his dirt bike (we now refer to it as scrap metal). I told his dad to build him a miniture car that looks like his dads. Were gonna name it the Baby Train. (Dads is the Crazy Train).

We will be across from the rangers station on the left side of the road. We are a family of Sandpiper Trailers. And of course we have the crazy Train it's a red with white rally stripes V-8 rail. Not many of them around.

We hope that anyone that would like to meet Daniel and see his amazing progress can come to our camp anytime. We are going to try to make it to the meet and greet on Saturday at the South pole.

We would love to meet some of the awesome people that prayed and rallied around Daniel and our family.

    Love and Prayers,

Danny, Dawn, Leanna, Amber & Daniel Murphy

    P.S.

Daniel wanted to say a personal thank you for the prayers.

  8. Hey here's an idea a friend of mine(he'a a cop) put lowjack on his bobcat and found it up in Reno. He said the guy was pretty surprised when they pulled in his driveway. Most highway patrolman have a locator device for lowjack where you just type in the number off the lowjack. At least that's what I heard....

  9. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We just wanted you to know we have read every comment on DDR and on Caringbridge. We really appreciate every prayer said and every nice thought. It really got us through. The road ahead is still going to be work, but every thing we have been through and are going to go through is worth it. Our son is an amazing child. We hope to meet all of you someday soon.

Our house is open to anyone that wants to visit. If your from far away we even have a piece of property with hookups for your RV's. Please give me a call if you want to visit some new friends.

We will let you know when the whole family will be going to the dunes next and maybe we can meet up with you then.

Words cannot express our sincere gratitute at the support you all have given us.

    Love,

    The Murphy's
