I have a ranger and was thinkin about getting a aftermarket mass air flow sensor. I read its suppose to help a noticablepower increase and a little better on gas. Have any of you tried this on your truck and what did you think of it?

the honda 250r is the best quad honda made! The suzuki is not a bad bike at all, but the honda is night and day better.

The majority of 450's with bolt on parts are only doing 43 to 48.
Are you guys talkin about comp or banshee hill? I dont know what I run up banshee hill but up comp my stock bore, stock port banshee runs 50...

I don't know what you paid for your 12mil or what kind of hp you're getting out of it, but I do know that I paid $200 for a stock 140hp street bike motor that pushed my bike up the hill at 68-70mph every trip out without a single problem. I own a banshee and I paid more for the port job on that and it only puts out 70hp@51mph.
damm sounds like u got a deal on that bro! Wouldnt a good ported banshee run a little faster than that tho?

Ya that's for the information dude!!! I was thinking it could possibly something with the jetting to cuz it does sputter a little sometimes.........Im wishin I woulda stuck with a 250 2 stroke. Haha I've always stuck with 2 strokes but I finaly gave in to the thumper lol

The first sign of needing a valve adjustment is being hard to start.
Ya that's what I figured but I just had them done a few weeks ago....so I think im gonna go back to the shop and tell the guy like wtf dude I no 4 strokes need valve adjustments a lot but I should get more than 2 rides out of it....lol

Ya I was thinkin somethin with the valves....would that be why its starts up pretty easy but after running it I need 2 let it sit for a loooong time before it wants 2 start

I recently bought a 04 kawi 250f of one of my buddys real cheap....bike runs freakin great, pulls strong and pretty fast. I know 4strokes are a pain to start and he told me has always had problems starting that bike....it came to the point where the bike wouldnt start at al unless i push started it and it was still hard...i got the valves adjusted and bike would start right up with ease.I took it out in the hills the next day and after riding it for awile sometimes the bike would start and other times, i wouldnt at all like before the valves got adjusted..can anyone help me on this? maybe he screwed me on he valve job...?

I hope he has a quick and full recovery!!! I rolled my mini sandrail and had a somewhat similar crash.....had the damaged tendons and such, and i strongly recommend as much physical therapy as possible! i half assed mine and now i have lost motion in my hand. I hope he makes it out to the dunes soon..

So, do you think a V6 sandcar could beat a V8 sandcar up Comp hill?
O o don't know what do u think....I don't see what that's has to do with my question? I said my truck was pretty quick not due to the motor but the hp to weight ratio.....and ya I tried looking at the motors themselves but mine is the edge so the frame is different and the motor is mounted up different. Plus I looked at my bros 02 3.0 auto and it was still a lil different...I just barely got my truck for my 16th bday so im fairly new to them.

If its really slow its a 3.0 if its only kinda slow its a 4.0.
Haha ya I have a 4.0 stick and it hauls a$$....runs with all the v8 trucks if not faster ha

Haha ya but that's not always the case...i ve seen 3.os stomp all ober 4.os and other way around to...my ranger is a 4.0 and it rips but its also a 03 and stick

Dumb question but how can I tell if my girlfriends 94 ford ranger she bought is a 3.0 or 4.0.....the guy said he though it was the 3.o but he didn't know miuch about trucks. I looked under the hood at the belt diagram or something like that and it only showed the 4.o..but I looked through receipts of oil changes and a couple said 3.o and most of them said 4.0...good runing truck with only 91k miles...so sounds dumb but wpuld like some help..thanks
