We're actually going Thursday-Monday . Rarely get out so I'm gonna make the most of it!
-
We are leaving for Dumont tonight so I will bring the seat out with me. If anyone wants to pick it up out there send my a text and we can meet up somewhere. I will be camped just south of 6 along the finger
So jealous that your going tonight! Can't wait for our trip in Dec!

I think that posting large signs with hefty fines is not an answer but a good deterrent, also a "hot line" to get a hold of the rangers might be good....

Bump for a great price, these go for $245 new....I should know, I have TWINS!

I get 55 gallon drums of F&L 110 octane in Van Nuys, Ca for 7.85 a gallon plus sales tax There is a $ 20 deposit for the drum for the first one. Then just bring the old one in the next time and they swap it with a new one full and sealed. They sell VP there also.

Well....I just called Sawyer and they gave the following pricing:
VP 110 octane (54 gallon drum) - $9.84 per gallon
F & L 110 octane (55 gallon drum) - $9.44 per gallon
When did you get your drum?

I have called 2 Pep Boys now and they are telling me "special order Only" Which Pep Boys did you use? these guys up here are brain dead! One guy didn't even ask what size just "We don't have skinny tires" !
Thanks Chris
Just picked them up.....got them from the Anaheim Hills Pep Boys
Pep Boys
714.974.0105
Ask for Domingo
I ended up walking out with them for $147.48
So I just called Domingo and asked him about the tires and apparently I got the last 2...lol They are on a "National Backorder"... :saywha:
He said that you can call him and he can find the same size but in a different brand...might be more money

Chris,
Funny that you post this today...I just dropped of my two "trailer tires" at Pep Boys to get two new 165/80R15's....my old ones were tore up and sun damaged and the tread actually peeled back
My last trip I had to back my buggy into the trailer with a winch since both tires were flat...
$155.54 mounted.... I told them not to balance them and saved $30

Have it delivered for less (8ish), call Kevin at 714-273-4814, tell him Eric DMS Crane Service sent you. There is a few places you can pick it up for cheaper but I like ordering in a 55gal sealed drum so if I don't use it right away its ok.
Thanks, I spoke with Kevin...here are the rates in case anyone else was wondering:
5 gallon 110 Octane (sealed jug) - $57.85
1 drum (55 gallon) 110 Octane (Sunoco Brand) - $527.44 incl tax ($9.59 pg) :surrender:
or
1 drum (55 gallon) 110 Octane (Torco Brand) - $485.95 incl tax($8.84 pg)
-
I will be there as it stands right now. I camp near bathroom #9
Sounds good Terry, look out for us out there, it would be great to go on a ride

Awesome, thanks. 1st question - Do you need to buy a pump for the drum? 2 - Where can I pick it up for less?

This is an older topic but very important....luckily I heard about this requirement when I got my 5th wheel...
If you have a 5th wheel and your GVWR is over 15,000, you need a non commercial A license.
Also remember that you need to bring someone with you that has their Class A or non commercial Class A to complete your drivers test....
-
Can you list where you get your race fuel and how much you pay per gallon?
The last time I bought it was at Mitchels The Pit Stpp in Orange, CA (110) for $9.72 pg
I hope there is a cheaper place out there..
Is there a place near Dumont to buy?

Anyone else taking a rail out this weekend?
I can't make it this weekend but were going Dec 1st weekend, taking my rail and hoping to meet up with other rails...never been to Dumont and it would be nice to follow a Dumont veteran to get the hang of it...
