Anyone know the laws in Ca and Nv for flat towing, im in the middle of deciding whether to build a new 2 seat frame or turn a bug into a baja, the bug has no title. and if i do the rail it would be homemade. I have no room for a trailer and no money to buy one.

ive heard people say they flat tow there race cars with no reg/insur with no problems, and others say it has to be reg/insur. and i cant afford insurance on another vehicle.

anyone?

in cali if so much as one wheel is on the ground it must be registered(and insured of course). which means not even tow dolly for you. if it's towed you need no registration, but keep in mind that lots of trails cross or share "street legal only" roads that you won't be able to "legally" drive on.

yeah, seams i may have to go a different route for towing.

I found this, basically its an extended tow dolly.

that is a trailer that would probly work for you but it needs to be registered. i had one a few years ago and it served it's purpose very well indeed.
