Hubby wanted a camcorder, went and got HIM one brought it home and told him happy valentines day. He says "no it's your Vanlentine" So last night I went and signed the check( at least part of it) for his new F350. He's a happy man this morning. Normally it's the little things that are the best!! Found three potatoes in my purse once and this morning a note HAPPY VD DAY!! Gotta love-em he makes me laugh non-stop.

The only ones I know are cdavego and dunepilot, guess we'll have to make the rounds. Be glad to be part of the pot-luck. Thats if we find the NOT the DDR camp.

You know... having a fire truck out there for the kids to gawk at might be kind of fun. Some of those little plastic fireman hats and badges, a lot of hand shaking and hero worship.

Just a thought...Wish they could do the Fire Truck.

Should be t-shirts, couple back packs some other odds & ends. I'll check on the hats.

We'll be there also. The company I work for said they would donate to the cause also. I should be getting the things with-in the next couple of weeks and get them to the right people. Working on one of the local Fire departments also. The year before last they really came through. It kind of helps if your sister is one of the bosses. Anyway, I hope there will be more.

I have to work that weekend. If I can swing it, I plan on going out the following weekend (Feb 10th). Larry & Nannette Short from Short Sand cars are going out that weekend and are bringing Larry's new single seater out and I plan to meet up w/ them out there to see it go.

I'am a smoker, husband used to, I do NOT smoke in my house, around the kids or grandkids. I don't smoke in resturants etc. ect. it's my stench and I don't feel that others need to smell it or whould want to. but thats just me.

I lost 10 bucks once at gambling. I was pissed off. I was 21 and it was the first time and last time I gambled. That was 8 years ago. I haven't gambled since. No thanks...I'll keep my hard earned dollars. you casinos.

Really all I need to know is when to take this turkey out of the freezer so it is defrosted in time. We'll be deep frying it on Thursday and today is Saturday. Should I take it out now, let it completely thaw, then just keep it in the fridge till Thurs?

Also: any tips on prepping it? This will be my first time cooking a bird.
