I was ranting about 1 irresponsible quad rider, not all of them. I ride too, but I wouldn't go straight up a razor at 25 mph w/o a spotter on either rail or quad.

Ya, thats the closest call I've had in almost 10 yrs of drivin rails around Dumont. Would have been really cool to have on video (if I had known it was going to happen) I chased him down and yelled at him for not having a spotter, hopefully he won't do it again.

I just wanted to send a shout out to the a$$hat that jumped my sandrail on saturday as i was going acoss a dune with my whole family in the car.

Was following a friend in his rail and i saw the tip of a flag then next thing I know the quad is sailing thru the air over my rail, not a spotter in sight.

I hope your quad falls off the trailer on the way home so you don't kill someone next time at Dumont.

My friend said another friend of his had his Bike stolen sat night too, cut the cable and pushed it out of camp. I don't know the details.

Thanks Gerald, I just saw your post as I'm getting ready to leave for Dumont. Its printing out now and my truck is running, we r leaving as soon as printer finishes. I couldn't find my freq book.

Does anyone have the scanner Frequencies for the Sherrif/Rescue/Rangers that they use at Dumont?

Can I volunteer for the position? How about the "really really big salad bowl" or the 90mph bowl? Or maybe the "Big Brown Hole"?

Maybe park down the street and walk a block or 2 so they cant get a description/lic#

they got me for 25 x5 also...wtf? maybe they shouldn't be allowed to sell them, or they got some bad info w/ the wrong prices?

"RA" at the mgm was a real good show and I don't think it was very expensive.

Must be a chocolate lab thing. Ours ran away from Dumont about 5 years ago or so (got out of the camper when someone opened the door)and he also was very nervous and afraid of noises, he was a pound rescue and never quite got over that. Someone was launching model rockets and he just freaked out and took off running. We figured someone just picked him up and kept him. Hope you have better luck this site reaches alot of people.
