This is not a free weekend. The only one that BLM allows is the clean up as it is a benefit (volunteer hours) to them and FoDD and the dunes area.

Sorry you will have to buy a pass but we are glad your coming out. Should be nice weather, good people and great sand, what could anyone ask for, unless it was a Royal Flush:)

my 2 cents....I bought a 24' Carson brand new for around 14k back in 2004 and it NEVER had to go back to the dealer, had zero problems with it. I sold it 3 years later for around 12k..only lost 2k in 3 years because it was so cheap to start with. We only sold it to upgrade to something a little better equipped.

I use to have a dog that would wait by the food bowl and get em when they landed. Just have to walk around the yard and pick them up with a shovel when he was done.

I did a test a few years ago to see what my doberman would do....had someone they didn't know walk right thru the front door and I think she would have tore him up if I hadn't got between them(ran at him like a bat outa hell, showin teeth and lookin crazy).....but just for good measure I got one more dobie and a little yappie dog to wake the big ones up. layers of security work best, they should hold em off long enough for me to chamber a round :B

One of my good buddies neighbor across the street who happens to be a little old lady who is harmless had someone force themselves through the front door of her home and beat the living crap out of her!! I mean come on!! What kind of a person does that nonsense. They ended up catching him because the neighbor called the police during the mugging and caught him as he was walking back out with her purse. This was in the Desert Shores area that this happened.

I signed up for a 4 day defensive hand gun class at Front Sight a while ago and Im hoping if work will permit I will get to take it the beginning of May. Front Sight is an incredible place on the way to Dumont from Vegas on the Tecopa road that offers some of the best training in the country for situations like this. Im probably one of the least violent people you have ever met. However someone trying to get into my home is where I draw the line out of fear for my own life. I'm getting my CCW out of this class but I don't think I will ever actually carry my gun outside of my home just because I think in most cases you are caught off guard and wont be able to do much anyways if confronted. Also I just don't feel comfortable carrying a gun around town. But if someone is brave enough to come after me in my own home than I wouldn't think twice to blow that SOB into the next room. Unfortunately these days you have to make sure you kill them or it can come back to haunt you.

ISBB, I have a Taurus 9mm and have had no problems with it in over 6 or 8 years. I use it as my CC gun and it has been very accurate for me at the range.

Terry, I can bring mine if noone is already bringing one...was just going to drive the Jeep but can bring the big truck with flatbed if necessary.
