  1. I want to thank Bruce (Turbo Bruce), Steve (Vegastyle), & Bill (DuneFamily) for giving back to this wonderful place called Dumont Dunes. Dumont has given me so many wonderful memories and new friends over the years. It was a pleasure to go out there with these guys this morning and give a little back to Dumont.

As Steve mentioned, the job went so much faster with Bill (Dunefamily) being there. He showed what a professional painter can do! If you ever need a professional painter, you should give Bill a call ( I know I will). Thank you again Bill for bringing your equipment and skills!

We got there just before 5 am (still dark). It was already 95 degrees.

We were all cleaned up & packed up to leave. On our way out Bruce spotted bathroom 5 had been tagged also. So took all the equipment back out and proceeded to clean that one up also.

Steve ...we are gonna meet at bathroom 7 at 5am. Hope to knock it out in 3 hours. Then head to Baker for breakfast. Suppose to be 118 out there tomorrow and 88 at 6 am ....hence that is why were going so early before it gets hot.

Ill have plenty of ice water. Im leaving at 1 am :?:

  3. wow a pass would be nice but was not offered i have the free time and its time to give back . rob saturday looks good i talked to dunefamily(bill) and hes in and has a paint spryer

I'm good for saturday also Bruce. I just got home and still have a bunch to do tonight so I will call you tomorrow (day) and work out the details with you. We will get Bathroom #7 looking good again!

  4. i know its hot out there, but maybe the site can put together a weekend to repaint these bath rooms? just a thought......

I do not know how that works with BLM. But if they do not want to deal with it and don't mind private sector dealing with it.....Ill buy all the supply's to repaint it and gladly meet anyone out there that wants to help re-paint it. Bring it back to its original condition.

  5. awesome Rob.

Were are you getting those mirrors?I want some just like them and havent been able to find the company.

Im not sure of which company makes them. I saw them at Prowlers. They sell them there. You can get them as Billet, Chrome or anodized. They let me take one home to see how it fits. There pretty beefy.

Also I am looking for some wheels and off road tires. Gonna hit Laguna Seca in august for the Porsche races and want to use it to travel around the infield with my camera gear. If anyone has a line on 4 BTR's or Walker Evans 17 x 7 with beadlocks. PM me.

  7. It doesnt look like they are going that fast but if you go full screen on the playback you can see the two inside tires lift off the ground coming out of the turn.

I should not of gone out there. Now I want one :D Its an adrenalin rush going into those turns.

  8. Went out to California Speedway yesterday to watch a couple of my buddys race their Porsche's. Besides being hotter then heck out there it was pretty darn fun.

My one buddy took me out in his car for the practice laps and it was a white knuckle experience. Going into a sharp a$$ turn at 80 mph on the brakes was an amazing experience. I was thinking was, ok this is it were gonna be on our lids. But those cars just rail in turns.

I was trying to hand hold my go pro but i dont think its gonna look to good ( i havent looked at it yet). Every time we hit those s turns you get slammed in your seat left to right and right to left. Im sure the footage is gonna look like a drunken sailer being that the frame isnt level . ha ha ha. No way to hand hold it in those kinda turns.

  10. Dont know anyone in that area, but the a/c unit should be sealed, if you have to tap into it an add refrigerant you may want them to add dye so you can locate the leak.

Sounds like it might be a job for camping world. I was hoping I wouldnt have to bring it there, but they do have warranty service on their work.

  11. For years I have tried to streamline the art of packing up quickly after a weekend of fun.

The last trip of this season I finally nailed it. Hit my stride, and everything just came together. Just as I had pre-visualized it.

A strong cup of coffee in the morning did not hurt matters either.

Check this out. Under a minute!
