    He was 12 feet away at 8:30 at night almost hit my f-in truck with my 9 month daughter in it i was at the wreck before the ranger, He was not hurt I was going to kill Him!

    Danny's car landed on its roof and blood everywhere!!!! so how the fk can someone not be hurt with being on the roof and blood????

    I am glad he wrecked his car just before we left comp hill, why was he traveling so fast at the entrance, if he did not sail over to the right, would he have killed someone on a quad or a bike, if he would have gone in the center of the entrance. Hope he is ok, but he could of hurt a lot more people.

    Thoughts and more prayers to Danny and those that were injured, and Eddie who lost his life Friday, to recovery and to drink a cold one with his friends!!!!

    he has been going to dumont for 20 + years and knows how to drive, thats why it's called an accident.

    I was out there this past weekend and saw the emergency vehicles coming in. The story I got from a group of guys camped by the accident was that the 1st person went into the Superbowl on the face of the dunes, but he went straight up and over. He crashed when he went over, and apparently crashed real bad. Then his friends heard he crashed and went to help. Well they went staright up and over in thier car, rolled it and didn't have belts on. Well those 2 flew out of the car and became the other injuries. The authorities either got the BLM rail, or the Medical rail out of Barstow to come and get the deceased out of the bowl.

    It's very sad when things like this happen and my thoughts go out to the families of these people.

    Thanks for clearing up, what happened, it makes a difference when someone heres it from fellow duners instead of authorities that dont know our lingo, and dune terms :rockwoot::clap::laughoff:

    Does anyone have any updates on danny?? Have you heard anything Nick???

    Talked to Russ (can't recall his screenname), danny's best friend, yesterday and he has been there everyday. He is at a status that he will make it, and it is gonna take a long recovery, he is in good spirits and is aware of what is going on and is pretty drugged up.

    Just got a phone call again and what I was told was he was on a dirtbike and went over Comp Hill and u can only imagine what happened after that, also said it was very windy today and sand was blowing really hard.

    Tonight at 515pm I got a text from a family friend asking if some one was airlifted from Dumont where would they be going?

    :DDRrocks: I was shocked to be getting a text like that, I immediately called and found out why she was asking me that, at the time of being on the phone with her i heard in the background a phone ring and someone screaming, i was then informed that he died in transit to UMC.

    Don't know much of the details of the accident,

    RIP Eddie Minjares, heres to drinking a cold one in ur honor :peeps:

    Thoughts and prayers out to Danny, I haven't heard anything since this afternoon, don't quote me on this, from what I was told on the phone was front end pile drives into sand, passenger had broken ankle, Danny was takin away in ambulance, and during x rays is when they discovered torn aurota, he had 2 surgerys today.

    Thinking about getting some to use in my smoker and some for camp fires. What size are the bigger pieces in diameter? How much is left???

    When I was there this afternoon he said he had someone showin' up tomorrow with a trailer to take the rest

    but its worth a shot callin' him. The stuff I got was Pecan and Apple.... the apple pieces are about 4-6'' and

    pecan is 8-10''....

    Adam's Driveline here in Hendo is pretty reasonable.

    My buddies 2002 2500hd w/8'' lift and 37's was tearing up carrier bearings.... took it over to Adams and he installed some kind

    of driveshaft that they use on semi's that was 3 seperate pieces connected by u-joints
